Description:
The Project Manager will be responsible for managing a large project (estimated $60 million) and will be the main liaison with the customer and internal partners. They will be responsible for communicating across many departments which requires someone who is an effective communicator (clear, concise and not afraid to push back on a customer or say no to a customer when needed). There will be high accountability for this individual to meet project timelines, manage budgets and meet deliverables. Due to the nature of their business they will also need to manage changing scope of the project, engineering change orders and keep an eye for critical paths (upcoming anticipated gaps or issues before they come).
Other Day to Day Responsibilities:
-Work with Mechanical Engineers, Controls Engineers, Build team and procurement
-Lead and facilitate mechanical design reviews
-Manage project schedules
-Help identify unplanned costs
-Control project changes
-Risk mitigation
-Utilize Microsoft Project and internal ERP systems and PM workbook for project tracking and documentation
-Travel to customer - up to 25% (will have an initial visit to customer, then may have another visit mid year and then will need to be onsite to oversee in the install. Could be 2-5 weeks depending on how it is going)
Skills & Qualifications:
MUST HAVES:
Experience working directly with customers
Experience managing the full lifecycle of projects (Timelines, scope, labor, and budget)
Project management experience specifically within the automation area
Bachelors Degree (Preferably in engineering, but will consider a business degree)
NICE TO HAVE:
PMP Certification
Microsoft Project experience
Engineering experience from past
