Main Job Function:
Responsible for management and execution of multiple related projectsand to identify, lead, and manage continuous improvement projects,incorporating best practices in program management. Works under generaldirection. Independently determines and develops approach to solutionscollecting and taking into consideration the user needs and availableresources within the company. Work is reviewed upon completion foradequacy in meeting objectives. Identifies and quantifies executionrisks and their consequences relative to the success of part of aproject. Recommends appropriate action. Decisions or recommendationswould typically achieve departmental / project objectives. Drivesfunctional performance that ensure cross-functional standards andexpectations are met.
Responsibilities:
Responsible to design, develop, communicate, and execute detailedproject plans to achieve overall program goals
Monitor progress and performance against project plans and developdashboards and reports to communicate progress
Proactively identify changes in project/program scope and proposeappropriate measures to reassess and amend milestones, budget, andtimeline.
Lead, coordinate and/or participate on cross-functional team activitiesfrom Concept Phase through implementation.
Conduct meetings including agenda, presentations, and minutes
Monitor and present communications demonstrating progress againstbudget, metrics, and strategic objectives
Analyze complex problems including those related to project risks;identify their impact; establish probabilities
Responsible for completing documentation in a timely manner and inaccordance with business and quality standards
Identify, lead, and manage continuous improvement projects,incorporating best practices in program management
Recommend and implement PM strategies and enhancements to improveefficiency
Coach and mentor staff on program management skills and tools.
Assist in idea and feedback capture and cataloging activities
Experience / Education:
Bachelors Degree required
PMP Certification required
3-5 years of experience in complex, technical program / projectmanagement to develop the competence required to meet the skills andresponsibilities of the position
Candidates / incumbents should possess the following:
Extensive knowledge of and competency in project management methodologyand processes;
Knowledge and experience with business excellence methodologies andprocesses;
Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills; demonstrated goodjudgment;
Ability to be creative in achieving objectives while assuring complianceto internal and external requirements;
Ability to utilize commonly accepted project management tools to assistin the development of and adherence to a schedule;
Ability or aptitude to work on problems that are complex in scope whereanalysis of situations or data involves multiple competing factors;
Ability to form and develop interpersonal, professional relationships;display s cially and professionally appropriate behavior;
Ability to work independently and in groups; ability to workcross-functionally and in a matrixed environment;
Ability and aptitude to use various types of databases and computersoftware;
Ability to prioritize their work tasks;
Ability to communicate effectively with strong written, oral, andpresentation skills.
