Project Management
• Prepare project plan in accordance to the requirements from the product owner accounting for scope, budget and quality.
• Manage the project scope, budget, schedule and quality and ensure any risks are communicated to the stakeholders early and the appropriate actions taken
• Facilitate agile processes including stand-ups, product backlog grooming, sprint reviews and retrospectives.
• Support and educate the Product Owner, especially with respect to grooming and maintaining the product backlog.
• Manage removal of impediments to the project team.
• Identify and manage dependencies across the project teams.
• Facilitate getting the work done without coercion, assigning, or dictating the work.
• Facilitate constructive discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution.
• Report status and monitor team metrics including burn down charts, velocity charts, user story break down, task definition and estimates.
• Champion ongoing process improvements and drive implementation of agile best practices.
• Ensure the project management methodology is followed; exceptions are agreed and constantly improve the processes and tools used.
• Manage risks and issues, escalating and adjusting plans accordingly in order to ensure realistic timeframes and forecasts.

Communication management
• Identify stakeholders and build communication plans to meet their needs
• Facilitate communication between all stakeholders
• Proactive communication of key messages to ensure that they are delivered to the right people at the right time
• Ensure continuous and high-quality flow of communication at all levels and across all projects
• Ensures a high-level of communication within the team to keep everyone informed
Leadership and people management
• Provides leadership for a multidisciplinary project team across (MBWG)
• Accurately assesses work and contribution and gives quick corrective feedback where required
• Promotes empowerment of the project team, ensuring that each team member is engaged in the project and making a meaningful contribution.
• Demonstrates leadership competencies, which ensure that the project team is led effectively
Administration Management
• Ensures a high standard of project documentation deliverables – ensuring that all information is accurate meaningful and correct.
• Holds ownership to track and report on project progress include realistic forecasts of final positions
• Efficient in use of tools for tracking project and progress.
• Close all project documentation and archives records appropriately
• Document and track all changes, delays, claims etc
• Establish administration and reporting guidelines on all projects.
Essential:
• Able to demonstrate thorough understanding of software development lifecycle models.
• Displays knowledge of both agile and traditional project management principles and practices and the ability to blend them together to fit a project and business environment.
• Experience of successfully implementing software development projects using agile methodologies.
• Commercial focus.
• Knowledge and/or experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games.
• Experience managing multi-disciplinary project teams including Developers, Architects, Business Analysts and QA across geographical locations.
• Sufficient level of technical background to provide highly credible leadership to development teams.
• Able to accurately and objectively evaluate complex project risks and issues.
• Strong analytical, planning and organization skills with an ability to manage competing demands.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of both business and customers needs with the ability to establish and maintain high levels of customer trust and confidence.
• Proven ability to work with geographically dispersed and culturally diverse teams.
• Experience in complex integration style projects ideally with multivendor experience in a system integrator role.
• Ability to build and sustain relationships at all levels within and external to the organization.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Desirable:
• Domain knowledge in one or more core disciplines of application or embedded software, computer science or Electronics engineering.
• Experience in product-based development and test teams.
• Experience in the retail oil (payments or POS systems) sectors.
• Past roles include professional services organizations.
• Experience with Jira and Confluence.
• Scrum Master, CSM or other agile certifications.
