Description

Robert Half is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Compliance and Safety Director for a growing client in Central NJ. In this critical role, you will work closely with our executive team to ensure that all operations meet and exceed warehouse regulatory standards. OSHA certification and an understanding of compliance/regulations in relation to food/beverages is required.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with Managers to establish and implement strategic goals for compliance and safety.

Maintain accurate records and update policies to comply with local, state, and federal regulations.

Manage insurance standards and ensure compliance.

Oversee the efficient operation of the Compliance Department.

Create, update, and implement safety policies, and conduct staff training sessions.

Obtain required permits and ensure operational compliance.

Manage compliance with regulatory agencies and monitor policy changes.

Enforce a safe work environment across all operating locations.

Review insurance policies and recommend improvements.

Ensure fleet compliance and oversee hours of service.

Handle OSHA reporting and compliance.

Travel to conduct regular safety inspections and training sessions at company locations.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree is preferred

Strong understanding of regulatory compliance, safety management, and insurance standards.

Proven leadership and communication skills.

Experience in warehouse operations or similar environments is a plus.
