We are looking for experienced, innovative and motivated IT Specialists to support enablement US AFRICOM’s mission objectives.
What will you do in this role?
You will be putting your talent to work as the Lead Project Manager supporting a Department of Defense (DoD) organization, USAFRICOM which is located OCONUS in Stuttgart, Germany. This position is required to travel OCONUS.
Your responsibilities will include:
Strategic Project Leadership
Providing strategic leadership in the planning, execution, and delivery of critical IT projects.
Collaborating with senior management to align IT projects with organizational goals and objectives.
Driving the development and implementation of IT project management best practices.
Team Management and Development
Leading and mentoring a team of IT Project Managers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Conducting regular performance reviews and providing guidance for professional development.
Coordinating with HR to recruit and onboard top talent to strengthen the project management team.
Stakeholder Engagement
Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including executives, department heads, and external partners.
Ensuring effective communication and collaboration between project teams and stakeholders.
Presenting project updates and recommendations to senior management and executive teams.
Program Management
Overseeing multiple concurrent IT projects, ensuring alignment with overall program objectives.
Developing and maintaining program timelines, budgets, and resource plans.
Implementing program governance and reporting structures to provide transparency and accountability.
Risk Management and Continuous Improvement
Proactively identifying and managing project and program risks, implementing mitigation and contingency plans.
Driving continuous improvement initiatives in project management processes and methodologies.
Conducting post-project evaluations to capture lessons learned and enhance future project outcomes.
These Qualifications are Required:
BA/BS + 8 years recent specialized or AA/AS + 10 years recent specialized or a major cert + 12 years recent specialized or 14 years of recent specialized experience
Must hold Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI
Must hold current Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Demonstrate proven experience as a Project Manager, with a track record of successfully delivering complex projects.
Possess strong leadership and team management skills.
Demonstrate excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficient in project management tools and methodologies.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $87,100.00 - $157,450.00
