  Job Summary:

  The Advanced Concepts & Technologies organization within Pratt & Whitney Engineering is seeking a Project Engineer for Technology Portfolio Management, reporting to the Manager, Technology, Collaboration & Intellectual Property. This is a highly visible position that is responsible for support & coordination of ongoing and emerging efforts related to Pratt & Whitney’s technology portfolio, execution, and overall management.

  Key Responsibilities:

  Manage the Broadly Leveraged Technology (BLT) portfolio. This includes the tracking of financial performance, technical performance relative to established milestones, and reporting of status to senior leadership.

  Track organizational-level technology milestones and generate metrics for AC&T and senior engineering leadership, and facilitate the identification and resolution of risks.

  Manage the Technology Tracker Tool and ensure that Technology Managers (TMs) provide timely updates to the tool and facilitate the enhancement of the capabilities of the tool.

  Perform portfolio analysis and generate reports and metrics to support engineering leadership as well as the office of the RTX Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and the P&W Chief Sustainability Officer (CSO).

  Compile financial data on technology contracts across the organization.

  Support the development and refinement of the P&W technology strategy.

  Support technology-related Transformation Initiatives.

  Basic Qualifications:

  Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Electrical Engineering from ABET (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology)

  8+ years of Engineering experience, or 5+ years with an advanced degree.

  U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

  Travel up to 10%

  Preferred Qualifications:

  M.S. or Ph.D. in Mechanical, Aerospace or Electrical Engineering preferred

  Project management certification such as the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI)

  Knowledge of PW’s technology processes

  Ability to work across groups and disciplines to achieve alignment

  Experience in Project Management

  Familiarity with project management tools, business processes & practices, including the Agile Process and tools

  Proficiency in the use of the SAP system

  Excellent communication and leadership skills, effective time management skills, and ability to pay attention to detail.

  Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. This means that responsibilities of the job need to be performed onsite on a regular basis.Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

  This requisition is eligible for an employee referral award. ALL eligibility requirements must be met to receive the referral award.

  The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

  Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

  This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
