About Project Engineer

  Our mission

We’re snack pioneers. From inventive new ingredient combinations to bold new standards in sustainability, we never stop striving for tastier and healthier snacking. No compromises. We aim to be the most valuable snacking business by challenging the convention that good for you and delicious cannot co-exist for everyone, everywhere.

  Our Purpose

Sure, we think big. Dream big too. But we believe in the power of little. Because we’ve shown giant leaps are possible when we do the little things right. With a relentless imagination to innovate, we set out to move mountains for both people and planet. Because why can’t a snack brand change the world? By empowering everyone to eat a little healthier, and a little more sustainably, we can people-power a better future. For all of us. And that’s a really big deal. By showing the world that snacking can be a power for good, our joyful snacks can do the impossible. One little bite at a time.

So it should come as no surprise that we’re also a certified B Corp and a proud advocate for the Better Business Act. We’ve committed to being a better business by putting equal measure behind how our business operates for people, planet and profit.

  Little Actions. Big Impact.

  The role:

We’re looking for a Project Engineer to lead and deliver multiple engineering projects for our growing factory, from initial R&D to final commissioning.

What we’re looking for in you:

A degree in engineering, design or other closely related disciplines.

Experience working in a related role.

A team player with excellent communication and influencing skills.

Inquisitive nature with a huge interest in how things function and are built.

A problem solver who relishes bringing new ideas to the table.

A track record of managing engineering projects from concept to delivery.

  Experience working to tight timelines.

Experience in managing projects with multiple internal and external stakeholders.

Sound understanding and practical experience in manufacturing and engineering processes.

Be a fast learner and self-starter with great attention to detail.

Experience with SolidWorks or equivalent CAD Software.

  What you’ll be responsible for:

Leading engineering projects from R&D through to final commissioning and high-volume production.

Project management of these projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, to a high quality, on time, and within budget.

Improving the efficiency and performance of existing designs, machinery, equipment, systems and products.

Building specifications and design of basic machinery setups.

Liaising with machinery suppliers to understand constraints and enhancements that can be made to new/existing machinery, working with those suppliers to manage the execution.

Engage with project team members, encouraging them to perform assigned tasks proactively.

Identify areas for cost reduction and risk mitigation within the business, including energy, waste and environmental impact performance improvements.

Direct and implement health and safety measures to deliver safe working practices to all engineering staff, contractors, and visitors in line with company policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.

Investigate new and emerging technologies, innovations and opportunities, increase company knowledge and gather insight.

What we’ll expect in your first 6 months:

Researching, developing and modelling new ideas for the manufacturing environment.

Identify new relevant equipment/applications to the manufacturing site

Analysing key metrics to understand trends and translating this analysis into continuous engineering improvements.

Turning research ideas into designs and technical plans using SolidWorks.

Testing/iterating designs and recommending modifications to your work and those of the wider team.

Leading cross-functional teams to assess and deliver innovation/improvement projects.

Establishing and building relationships with current and future suppliers and contractors.

Manage and conduct project activities, ensuring safe working practices and delivery against agreed milestones, including being hands-on where required.

Reviewing industry trends and incorporating them into engineering practices where relevant.

  What’s in it for you?

You’ll be part of a company where you can have fun, enjoy free snacks (very important) and pick up new skills to really take your experience to the next level.

25 days holiday, plus Bank Holidays (To reflect our diverse workforce, four Bank Holidays are interchangable ).

You can enjoy our discounted gym membership.

You’ll get all the standard benefits including a pension, a yearly bonus, health insurance and so much more.
