Organizational Expectations:
ONSITE: This role has essential onsite responsibilities for the oversight of construction activity at the Bank's downtown Cleveland facilities. Most construction activities occur Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm, however weekend, early morning, or evening activities are occasionally required. This role is required to be onsite for coordination and supervision.
As a project coordinator you will oversee and coordinate construction activities of assigned projects from project initiation through completion with limited guidance. You will apply your experience to ensure all construction project milestones and deliverables are met by:Providing essential onsite (physical) oversight of construction activity at the Bank.Serve as the central point of contact for all onsite contractors.Support financial stewardship through invoicing and change order reviews.Ensure compliance to the Bank's Contractor Health & Safety Program.Monitor compliance to the Bank's quality standards.Audit construction contractor's schedule performance.You will be responsible for facilitating construction planning activities associated with project management activities which include strategic activities such as planning, administration, estimating, scheduling, and supporting sourcing of construction vendors.
General Responsibilities:Monitors contractor performance to ensure project milestones and Bank standards and specifications are met.Coordinates the moving and installation of office systems, telephones and IT equipment related to construction projects.Coordinates the escorting of contractors throughout the Bank's premises.Coordinates the delivery of construction materials with contractors and internal Bank personnel.Coordinates communications between contractors, Bank operations and engineering teams.Keeps project manager abreast of project progress and key information on an ongoing basis.Ensures the Bank's contractor safety guidelines are being followed.Administers the work order system to track in-house hours allocated to projects.Performs project coordination when assigned, to include future project estimates, writing statements of work, and providing information to create requests for quotation.Coordinate project teams and tasks related to project deliverables.Ensure the preparation of required project documentation and executes testing and implementation activities.Coordinate vendor contracts and outside resources.Review project plans and proposals, work with management to develop project objectives; identify project responsibilities by determining the phases and elements of the project; calculate timeframe and sequence the action steps and stages of the project.Perform project management oversight of small projects or more than one large objective within a larger project.Adhere to the Bank's attendance policies through regular and prompt attendance.Review, evaluate, and monitor cost schedule and technical scope baselines.Perform other duties as assigned or requested.Education and Experience:High school diploma and 9 years of professional work experience ORTwo years of college and 7 years of professional work experience ORBachelor's degree and 5 years of professional work experienceKnowledge and Skills:Intermediate Analytical and problem solving skillsAdvanced knowledge, skills and abilities specific to the job and/or function; including, but not limited to, knowledge of specific Microsoft Office tools, problem solving and analytical skills and the ability to perform independent research.Intermediate Problem Solving SkillsDevelops solutions to a variety of complex problems, using in-depth knowledge and experience with complete understanding and application of industry practices, principles, concepts, practices and standards. Interactions involve obtaining or providing information that may require explanation, interpretation, negotiation, or persuasion.Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.Frequently works alone on complex projects, but may provide support within a group to solve broader issue and problemsIntermediate Customer Service SkillsThe nature of the function is a service business line and, therefore, must exhibit excellent customer service skills by displaying a professional and courteous attitude toward co-workers, customers, and vendors.Intermediate Specialized Operational/Technical SkillsAdvanced knowledge of project management tools and methodologies; Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools; knowledge of Project Management Software a plus.Demonstrated multitasking ability to manage multiple parallel projects and competing priorities.Physical Demands and General Working Conditions
Operations environment (such as Building Services): Employees in this position require physical capabilities such as lifting, climbing and crawling along with the ability to work with their hands. Ability to lift and carry tools and equipment weighing as much as 50 lbs. required. Employees must be able to operate equipment such as forklifts, hand-trucks or carts to move heavier items. Extensive amounts of walking and standing can be required on a daily basis. Exposure to uncomfortable areas (such as crawl spaces) to make repairs or installations is possible. Exposure to climate elements (internal/external) will occur based upon task needs. Exposure to noise from various building equipment will also occur. Valid driver's license required.
Employee may sit most of the day, work with a computer and may answer/respond to phone calls. Physical movement consists of walking for meetings, breaks, etc. Ability to lift items weighing approximately 50 pounds on a limited basis is required. Employees may be required to travel by car/air.
