Title: Project Buyer-Compressor Manufacturing

　　Location: North Houston (77032)

　　Duration: Direct Hire

　　Growing manufacturing company located North Houston is looking for a Project Buyer to join the group!

　　Targeting candidates with:

　　5+ years of relevant experience in Supply Chain/Procurement/Project buying.

　　Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

　　Must be an independent self-starter with excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication, and problem-solving skills and multi-tasking.

　　Strong manufacturing background highly preferred

　　Knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 14000.

　　Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI.

　　Demonstrated accurate, timely and effective purchasing and negotiation skills as well as the ability to review, verify and process requisitions and purchase orders.

　　Roles and Responsibilities

　　• Research, select and purchase quality products and materials.

　　• Arranges with appropriate subcontractor for various services of shop work-in-process. Reviews material requests and prints for completeness of information so that vendor can comply with requirements.

　　• Conducts periodic supplier visits to assess their service.

　　• Carries out necessary follow-up and expediting activities to ensure delivery as required by production schedules.

　　• Attends weekly Production meeting with Engineering, Production, Logistics, and Quality.

　　• Build relationships with suppliers and negotiate with them for best pricing.

　　• Resolve discrepancies and issues with invoices and purchases orders.

　　• Monitor vendor performance and recommend necessary actions to Strategic Sourcing in order to improve performance, when necessary.

　　• Monitor KPI’s.

　　• Analyze market trends and apply this knowledge to make insightful buying decision.

　　• Other miscellaneous projects assigned by Supply Chain Manager.
