　　GBA is looking for a Project Bridge Engineer to join our growingTransportation Group in our Lenexa (KC Metro) headquarters. Our expertswork with municipal, county and DOT clients on all types oftransportation projects. In addition to traditional design-bid-buildprojects, our team has experience in design-build projects, both inmunicipal services and for the DOTs. Our Bridge Group is a cohesive andflexible group of engineers who are dedicated to the profession and workwell in a team environment. They are highly trained with experience inboth bridge design and inspection. GBA provides a complete solution forbridge projects including design, comprehensive inspections,load-ratings, bridge management, and GIS mapping for our clients.

　　For this position, we are looking for someone who can executesignificant portions of bridge design scope with minimal guidance frommore experienced staff. The candidate will be a licensed professionalengineer, preferably in multiple Midwest states including KS and MO.This candidate will also be called upon to review, sign andprofessionally seal bridge load ratings in the State of Kansas andMissouri. This role will suit a self-motivated individual who is willingto take on design, plan production, and bridge rating duties within theBridge Group.

　　Responsibilities:

　　Execute bridge design work, including conceptual bridge design,preparation of construction documents and cost estimates withmoderate guidance from more experienced staffReview, Sign and Professionally Seal Load Ratings in the State ofKansas and MissouriUse personal management skills to plan, organize, and monitorproject progressShare technical knowledge through mentoring and training lessexperienced staffOther duties as assignedRequirements:

　　BS/MS in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or closelyrelated fieldLicensed Professional Engineer in Kansas or Missouri, or the abilityto obtain licensure in Kansas, Missouri, Texas, or Illinois within 6months of hireAt least 6 years of experience in bridge engineering and bridgepreservationStrong working technical knowledge of engineering principles andpracticesWorking knowledge of MicrostationExcellent verbal and written communication skills with the abilityto effectively communicate with all levels within the organizationWilling to travel to conduct business of the company when and wherenecessaryMembership in at least one professional organization, with regularparticipationPossess an attitude and commitment to quality while working in ateam environmentIts More Than Just a Job
