  This opportunity entails being responsible for participation in all phases of project development including full technical support of the architecture as well as incorporation of all disciplines involved with the design. Serves as a resource to the designer and project manager as the design is developed. The role may include serving as the lead technical architect on small to medium sized projects.

  What You'll Do:

  Develops and presents lead technical viewpoint on projects and ensures HNTB systems are used to deliver the design in a standardized manner.

  Ensures that a technical solution consistent with the program and design is properly developed and produced. Integrates quality control measures during all phases of design.

  Promotes the implementation and enforcement of BIM and design technology standards, best practices, and project team workflows.

  Serves as a subject matter expert on architectural projects of small to medium size and assists on larger projects.

  Works closely with the project designer and manager in planning and implementing all work processes in consideration of budgets and schedules. Work includes preparing work plans, estimating hours to complete tasks, developing project reports, managing consultant team members (including coordination and incorporation of all work products) and reviewing invoices.

  Performs other duties as assigned.

  What You'll Need:

  Bachelor’s degree in Architecture and 6 years of relevant experience.

  What You'll Bring:

  Advanced working knowledge of Autodesk Revit.

  Skills in computational design, or other emerging technologies.

  Knowledgeable in current and emerging tools including Autodesk Revit, cloud filesharing/collaboration, complex 3D modeling, visualization.

  Knowledgeable in current accessibility and sustainability codes and standards.

  Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

  Aviation Architecture experience is preferred

  Proficiency in Adobe Suite, Bluebeam, MS Word, MS Excel

  Computer Rendering skills are a plus

  Experience with InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch-up, Rhino are a plus

  Demonstrated technical ability and leadership skills required

  Clear communication skills, including presentation skills

  Patience and ability to mentor and develop others

  Primary Focus Will Include:

  Aviation projects at Denver International Airport (DEN) to include DEN on-call tasks, Airline specific projects and Support for larger programs such as Concourse expansion and Terminal design management

  Additional aviation projects within Colorado

  Support of other aviation projects Nationwide

  Additional projects in Denver, CO, such as sports architecture, transportation architecture and civic architecture.

  Expert knowledge of building codes, accessibility guidelines, building construction, and building systems integration. Ability to research and apply/incorporate into construction documents.

  Participate in communication with the project team, clients, contractors, and consultant teams regarding various technical aspects of the project.

  Support senior leadership in the preparation, review, and coordination of construction documents prior to issue, including verifying project conforms with client’s scope, budget, and schedule.

  Collaborate with senior project leadership during the construction administration phase, to attend on-site field visits, conduct field reviews, attend contractor meetings, respond to RFIs, evaluate change orders, review shop drawings, and perform other duties as assigned.

  Coordinate with PM, clients, public agencies, building code officials, consultants and contractors to incorporate engineering systems, respond to requests for information, clarifications and modifications, and obtain approvals, negotiations and adjusting scope of services.

  The approximate pay range for Colorado is $87,291.69 - $136,533.17. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent on factors, including but not limited to, the individual’s qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as physical work location within the state.
