Kleinschmidt has a full-time opening for a Project Accountant to handle multiple deadline-oriented tasks, including, but not limited to, project accounting, project planning, invoicing, and accounts receivable in or around Madison, WI, Portland, OR, or Redmond, WA. Our flexibility and core value of relationships allow us to offer employees the opportunity to work in a hybrid environment including working from the office and remotely.Salary: $65,000-$85,000/year (based on experience)Who You AreA Project Accountant with demonstrated knowledge of project accounting, general accounting, and business principles (five years of relevant experience; or an associate's degree in accounting or business and three years of experience.)Relationship-focused: Ability to interface and coordinate well with senior level staff. Ability to problem solve and work independently in a fast-paced team environment while handling multiple tasks under the pressure of deadlines. Solid customer service skills.Knowledgeable: High proficiency and extensive knowledge of accounting software applications as well as Microsoft Office Suite software and Adobe Acrobat. Knowledge of Deltek Vantagepoint or Elevia would be beneficial. Specific accounting experience with invoicing, budgets, project management reporting, project analysis and accounting records management.Detailed: Good judgement, organizational, written, and oral communication skills with a high attention to detail are necessary. High level of quality control.Additional RequirementsMust possess permanent authorization to work in the United StatesMust possess a valid driver's licenseAbout the PositionThe successful candidate will maintain the project accounting management system, including working with project managers to set up projects, budgets, and project plans throughout the project life cycle. Ability to read and interpret contractual and legal documents such as purchase orders, change orders and contract modifications.
