  Job Description

  Your New Role…

  The App Programming Temp is responsible for finding engaging sports content for B/R's mobile app, website and communities. They are tasked with covering breaking MLB news, sending push notifications, curating content and fostering in-app communities. They will also own projects, execute push notification plans and run event coverage around key MLB tentpole events.

  Your Role Accountabilities…

  Write push notifications about breaking news, viral moments in sports and sports culture

  Cover all major sports as they happen including NBA, NFL and MLB

  Program engaging content about relevant leagues and teams across all platforms, work cross-functionally with social, editorial, live programming and content planning teams

  Channel B/R's voice as you distribute content across all platforms

  Work to re-engage all audiences and maximize user retention in app

  Qualifications & Experiences…

  Passionate sports fan, 1-3 years of professional experience preferred

  Frequent user of B/R app, understanding how it works as a fan

  Expert level MLB knowledge preferred

  A keen awareness of B/R’s voice. When breaking news happens, be expected to know how B/R reacts on multiple platforms

  Avid consumer of sports content across multiple platforms

  Previous experience sending push notifications a plus

  Working nights and weekends expected, we work when sports happen

  Experience cutting highlights and short videos a plus

  The Legal Bits…

  In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $43,680.00 - $81,120.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
