Summary The Fiduciary Hub Training Specialist serves as a training specialist and coordinator for all Fiduciary Hub training to include all annual required training, initial training and ongoing training for the Fiduciary Hub. The Fiduciary Hub training program is a multifaceted development program that is intended to address a wide variety of needs and objectives. Types of training may include: Veterans Benefit Administration (VBA) program training, basic skills, and quality improvement training. Responsibilities The incumbent is responsible for performing duties that include but are not limited to the following activities in one of the Fiduciary Hubs. Duties include, but are not limited to: Provides FY National Training Requirements to Fid Hub management: reviews compliance and revises Fid Hub training plan as needed; Develops training courses, guidelines, objectives, instructional methods and course materials; Responsible for planning, programming, coordinating, managing, directing and/or reviewing activities of new employees; Maintains a Fid Hub Training Library with complete reference manuals; Ensures that any work processed by trainees is reviewed 100% of the time to evaluate performance; Serves as TMS administrator: assign training, build learning plans, run reports, manage user accounts, coordinate technical support; Assist employees in learning and understanding by using a variety of teaching methods; Serves as subject matter expert for the Fid Hub. Promotion Potential: The selectee may be promoted to the full performance level without further competition when all regulatory, qualification, and performance requirements are met. Selection at a lower grade level does not guarantee promotion to the full performance level. The grade progression for this position is GS-11. Examples of qualifying specialized experience include: Teaching or instructing in an adult education program, secondary school, college, military installation, or industrial establishment in the appropriate field(s); Supervising or administering a training program; Development or review of training/course materials, aids, devices, etc., and evaluation of training results; Work in the occupation or subject-matter field of the position to be filled that required training or instructing others on a regular basis. Specialized Experience GS-9: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade (GS-07) in the normal progression for the occupation within the organization. Specialized experience is defined as performing training or qualify review on the work of others with regard to applying the full range of Veterans' benefits programs to assist Veterans, their beneficiaries, and other representatives. In addition to the Specialized Experience required at the GS-9 grade level, Specialized experience for the GS-11 is defined as experience in one of the following: Developing training guidelines and objectives, instructional methods and course material Providing management advisory services, including making planned, systematic studies of immediate and long-range training needs Managing a training program to include planning and coordinating all activities for assigned students, instructors and classes Combining Education & Specialized Experience: If you do not fully meet the length of experience and education described for a specific grade level (e.g. have six months of experience and some coursework but not a degree), the two can be combined to total 100% of the requirement. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Note: A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities. Physical Requirements: The work is primarily sedentary. Some work may require walking in offices and similar areas for meetings and to conduct HR work.
