The Program Manager – Technology plays a pivotal role in steering the direction and overseeing the execution of technology programs and projects, aligning them with the strategic objectives, commitments, and goals of the company. This role will leverage industry-recognized standards and methodologies to successfully manage and deliver multiple projects of high complexity, risk, and business significance. This role will be instrumental in confirming requirements, orchestrating both internal and external communications, addressing issues, and navigating risks to achieve timely and successful program and project outcomes. The Program Manager, Technology employs exceptional organization and outstanding communication abilities along with a depth of technical and industry knowledge that consistently meets or exceeds the expectations of all project stakeholders, both within and outside the organization.

RES PONSIBILITIES, other duties may be assigned.

Manage strategic cross functional, technology programs and projects from conception to completion.

Engage with cross-functional stakeholders to validate business cases and collaboratively agree on and develop program charters.

Develop and maintain program documentation including program management plans, program schedules, program risk registers, and lessons learned registers.

Manage entire program scope, including validating requirements, creating comprehensive Work Breakdown Structures, and effectively mitigating or eliminating scope creep.

Strategically allocate, and coordinate the sharing of, resources across constituent projects, optimizing the collective output and success of the program

Facilitate regular meeting cadences and provides timely updates to project stakeholders through established channels (email, messenger, web conference, etc.)

Provide effective leadership to project managers by holding them accountable to meeting project milestones and timelines

Monitor, track and control outcomes to resolve conflicts, dependencies and other project risks to ensure critical path deliverables are met

Provide periodic reports, metrics and project summaries to executive-level representatives of internal business units.

Utilizes PMBOK best practices, established project methodologies and tools to mature PM capabilities for the organization, including internal processes and documentation

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, engineering or a related field, or equivalent professional experience

Ten or more years or more of progressive project and program management experience in an IT infrastructure environment or related field

Proven experience managing technical programs utilizing industry best practices.

Extensive experience with Waterfall, Agile and/or Scrum methodologies

PMP (Project Management Professional) or related certification(s)

US Citizenship for this position is required by law due to federal customer contracts.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Extensive experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint and Visio

Experience with project management applications like Smartsheet and Jira.

Experience working in data center, critical facility, or other IT-related environment(s)

MBA or related Master's degree

PgMP (Program Management Professional) and ITIL certifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Superior verbal and written communication and analytical problem-solving skills

Strong leadership, diplomacy, and motivational skills, including the ability to manage up, down and across multiple business units and organizations

Self-motivated, goal-oriented individual with extensive experience multi-tasking across multiple concurrent and complex projects

Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
