What Program and Project Management contributes to Cardinal Health
Program & Project Management is responsible for playing a key/critical role in realizing business value through the application of project management knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to meet project objectives.
Demonstrates knowledge of the project management initiating, planning, executing,monitoring/controlling,and closing processes.Monitors performance and recommends scope, schedule, cost or resource adjustments; connects short-term demands to long-term implications, in alignment with the supporting business case.Prioritizes multiple tasks while meeting deadlines; communicates project status (health, forecast, issues, risks, etc.) to stakeholders in an open and honest fashion.Effectively balances competing project constraints including but not limited to scope, quality, schedule, funding, budget, resources, and risk, to manage project success.Connects project objectives to broader organizational goals.Provides input to contracts, reviews contracts to ensure completeness of scope and appropriate accountability based on role and/or responsibility.Negotiates with stakeholders to obtain the resources necessary for successful project execution.Responsibilities
On time, on budget delivery of strategic business projects with aggressive timelinesEffectively document scope, estimate cost, and create a detailed schedule for large, complex, cross-functional projects and programsEnsure effective, nimble controls are in place and manage risks, issues, changes, decisions, cost, resources, and schedule; connect short-term demands to long-term implications, in alignment with the supporting business caseAssist in drafting and negotiating firm contracts, ensuring supplier delivers on time, on budgetProvides input to contracts, reviews contracts to ensure completeness of scope and appropriate accountability based on role and/or responsibility.Effectively manage multiple projects or programs, prioritizing multiple tasks while meeting deadlines; communicate project status (health, forecast, issues, risks, etc.) to leadership and stakeholders in an open and honest fashionEnsure team is successful by addressing workload priorities, removing obstacles, facilitating issue resolutionEffectively balance competing project constraints including but not limited to scope, quality, schedule, funding, budget, resources, and risk, to manage project successMonitors performance and recommends scope, schedule, cost or resource adjustments; connects short-term demands to long-term implications, in alignment with the supporting business case.Connects project objectives to broader organizational goals.Negotiates with stakeholders to obtain the resources necessary for successful project execution.Qualifications
3+ years proven successful Project Mgt experienceAbility to influence without authorityProficiency in Microsoft Office products, particularly MS Project, Excel, and PowerPointExcellent communication skills; ability to tailor communication with all levels of the organization, including executive leadershipSophisticated problem-solving skillsExperience in radiopharmaceutical manufacturing a plusExperience with FDA Validation and cGMP a plusExperience with supplier negotiations and/or supplier relationship management a plusExperience in healthcare or radiopharmaceuticals a plusUnderstanding of Supply Chain management and Manufacturing a plusBachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent work experience preferredAbility to travel up to 10%What is expected of you and others at this level
