About Program Manager, Litigation & Regulatory Operations

  Description

Are you interested in creating the most innovative Legal department in the world, solving unique operational challenges no other company has tackled? Operating at Amazon’s scale demands intelligent systems, and a business operations mindset, to wrangle the tens of thousands of incoming legal requests and claims with increasing efficiency as Amazon grows.

In this role, you will sit with the Litigation and Regulatory Operations team, and work with paralegals, business analysts, Legal technologists, lawyers and global business leaders to operationalize the production of legal work and reduce risk for Amazon. You’ll enjoy breaking things to see how they work, improving on what works, discarding what doesn't, and learning from both. You should be passionate about technology and solving high-impact, ambiguous, business problems in the legal space.

You will be responsible for streamlining legal processes, implementing technical solutions, designing metrics to measure performance, and translating improvements into financial savings. You thrive in an entrepreneurial environment and are not fazed by ambiguity or competing priorities.

Successful candidates will be detail driven, have excellent problem solving abilities, and be able to communicate and influence at all levels.

  Key job responsibilities

Create a strategic roadmap for continuous improvement, quality processes, and reporting and metrics that support the delivery of world-class legal operations.

Assess process improvement and transformation opportunities, and partner with process owners and stakeholders to scope opportunities, define problem statements and objectives, and structure projects and teams.

Build high-quality, standardized processes that consistently deliver intended outcomes.

Lead automation and technology integration projects working with legal technology teams

Provide self-service resources and skill development to increase team.

We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

Arlington, VA, USA | Seattle, WA, USA

  Basic Qualifications

5+ years of program or project management experience

Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

  Preferred Qualifications

2+ years of driving process improvements experience

Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
