The Defect Prevention and Reconciliation (DP&R) organization creates innovative technical products that help Amazon recognize, reconcile, and prevent errors within Amazon’s fulfillment supply chain We are building a future where we capture, analyze, and explain every inventory defect across all stages of the supply chain (i.e. inbound, distribution, storage, fulfillment, returns) which at scale is tremendous. The Defect Reduction Program Management Team, improves selling partner inbound shipment performance by: creating strategies for selling partner accountability, designing educational approaches to selling partners, and working with product teams to improve the technology used to identify and surface shipment issues to our selling partners.
As a Program Manager on this team, you will be responsible for helping reduce seller-caused defects and identifying the opportunities within fullfillment, selling partners, and supply chain processes. Your approach through seller education and building innovative solutions to eliminate the root causes will be prominent in helping to reduce waste by building partnership.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to be an integral part of: the design and launch of feedback systems, improving root cause identification systems, the creation of long-term goals, and collaborating with fulfillment technology teams to enhance robotics and automation technology.
The right candidate for this role is a self-starter who can operate independently to dive deep, influence stakeholders, improve customer experiences, perform intermediate-level data analysis, and can own small to medium-scale projects from start to finish where business problems and solutions are undefined. Additionally, and ideal candidate for this job would likely have characteristics such as; exceptional people skills, enthusiasm about deep data diving, prior experience working in a cross-functional capacity, and/or should posess prior program management experience.

The Program Manager prioritizes to achieve the greatest impact on Liability Reduction. Their decisions have long term impact on Seller Experience and company public relations due to risks accurately, fairly, and thoroughly reconciling defects where sellers might be liable for a reimbursement. They ensure their work is measurable and auditable, and report these results to all stakeholders.
Key job responsibilities
• Define program requirements, success metrics and drives team(s)/partners across multiple regions to meet goals
• Write detailed data-driven business review documents, Project Charters, etc. to a wide range of audiences including Directors
• Oversee roll-out of processes (including testing, and other launch efforts) and manage post-launch support plans
• Monitor program performance to identify, address and prevent potential issues and present overall progress to Senior Leadership
• Assist partner teams in making trade-offs by considering the larger picture (e.g., customer experience, financial goals, compliance, legal, public relations, process workflow dependencies, metrics, quality, efficiency, etc.)
• Improve project and process efficiency, optimizes cross-team processes that improve team efficacy and delivery.

Basic Qualifications
3+ years of program or project management experience
3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
Preferred Qualifications
3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
3+ years of driving process improvements experience
Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
Experience building processes, project management, and schedules

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $59,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
