  Job Description:

  SSCI is looking for a Program Manager to manage programs and support the capture of new business opportunities focused on the development of advanced Autonomy & AI technology and the creation of first-of-a-kind capabilities for national defense customers. The PM will be a principal interface to customers, subcontractors, and SSCI leadership for the programs and proposals managed. This position requires U.S. Citizenship and eligibility for U.S. Dept. of Defense Security Clearance.

  Responsibilities:

  Manage talented, multidisciplinary, engineering teams to meet program schedule, cost, and technical objectives of government funded autonomy and AI programs.

  Lead program planning, including cost and schedule definition and coordination of staff assignments.

  Coordinate and manage program execution, perform regular risk assessments and initiation of corrective actions as required to achieve program objectives.

  Manage supplier and subcontractor performance.

  Assess and report financial and technical progress vs plans.

  Lead proposals and ensure on time delivery of a compliant proposal that effectively communicates and differentiates the SSCI offering.

  Manage proposal team efforts including the development of work statements, schedules, budgets, coordination/evaluation of proposal inputs from the technical staff.

  Regularly brief senior management on program status and new business opportunities.

  Requirements

  Required Skills and Experience:

  Experience successfully leading/coordinating software teams on development programs.

  5-10 years of software project/program leadership experience in positions of increasing responsibility.

  Experience using program management processes and tools.

  Experience with FAR based development contracts.

  Strong experience with proposal development/program capture.

  Experience with proposal management strategies, ensuring compliance, opportunity shaping, and offering differentiation.

  Experience working with the DoD agencies and DARPA offices, and a recent security clearance are highly desired.

  Desired Skills and experience:

  Strong problem-solving skills, a demonstrated ability to innovate, and have excellent writing and presentation skills along with the ability to communicate complex ideas to technical experts and technically savvy non-experts.

  Strong communication skills and ability to summarize complex topics succinctly for internal stakeholders and external customers.

  PMI certification and experience working in an Agile Software Development environment is a plus.

  Military experience a plus.

  Experience with geographically dispersed teams.

  Experience managing programs with: autonomous behavior development, artificial intelligence, computer vision and/or image processing algorithm implementation, developing flight compliant software, and/or MATLAB and Simulink code generation toolsets.
