This shared position works under the leadership of the Carlson School's Senior Diversity Officer and the Director of MIN-Corps, a program of the Holmes Center. This position is funded 50% through the Center for Inclusive Excellence and 50% through the Holmes Center for Entrepreneurship. MIN-Corps is part of the Great Lakes I-Corps Hub, a National Science Foundation funded collaboration of 16 midwestern universities. This position will design and implement initiatives that support the Hub's DEI Working Group. The position will also identify and nurture partnerships which drive recruitment to programs and universities. In addition, this position will support other Holmes Center programs, including MN Cup and Naturally MN. The position will assist with planning and supervising the execution of significant events related to the various programs. Additionally, this professional will work closely with the Senior Diversity Officer on recruiting initiatives, conference planning and the operations of the Center for Inclusive Excellence. This position works closely with the Senior Diversity Officer, Holmes Center staff, Hub university leaders, as well as Carlson internal stakeholders, to develop and implement diversity initiatives, communicate the Center's work and progress, and support the operations of the Center. An ideal candidate for this position is tactful, thoughtful, and dedicated to building inclusive excellence within higher education. This role requires the ability to work autonomously and with departments across the Carlson School. This requires strong professionalism and the ability to maintain positive relationships with various stakeholders. Carlson School work arrangements are currently being determined in coordination with supervisors depending on the nature of the unit and position. This may allow for hybrid work for some employees. The arrangement for this position will be determined upon hire between the employee and supervisor. This position may require infrequent, scheduled work after standard office hours to support on- and off-site meetings or events. This role has an anticipated starting salary of $70,000-$80,000, depending on qualifications. Applications will be reviewed on a continuous basis until the position has been filled. JOB DESCRIPTION: Holmes Center (50%) Provide leadership and direction for DEI Goals of Great Lakes I-Corps Hub Lead the Hub's DEI working group and facilitate evidence-based DEI initiatives in alignment with the strategic plan Understand national DEI trends in STEM and entrepreneurship Provide oversight for programs and curriculum across the 16 universities of the Hub to ensure inclusion and belonging Develop and lead the delivery of specific training modules for participants, Hub members, and mentors. Lead a team to plan and execute yearly programs of Inclusive Innovators Summit and Women Innovators Conference Lead introductory seminars on technology commercialization and entrepreneurship Develop collaborative relationships among the campus leaders of the Hub Support to the Senior Diversity Officer and Center for Inclusive Excellence (50%) Support the Director's ongoing work with partners, including scheduling, preparing for, and executing meetings or events, drafting and posting minutes, tracking and communicating progress, and processing expenses. Support the Director in developing a strategic set of programmatic school-level offerings intended to create a more inclusive culture at the school. Facilitate planning, preparation, and execution of program offerings including coordinating with partners, logistics, marketing and communications, surveying participants, an processing expenses. Develop and maintain relationships with external community and University partners through ongoing communication, relationship-building, and tracking touchpoints to advance opportunities with the Center and promote its work. Evaluate programmatic offerings through surveys and data analysis, making recommendations for continuous improvement. Represent the Center to stakeholders in order to advance the CIE's and Carlson School's strategic priorities. The employer reserves the right to change or assign duties to this position Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: BA/BS with at least 4 years of experience or a combination of related education and work experience to equal 8 years.
