Are you ready to launch a career at BlueHalo?BlueHalo is seeking an Advanced Radio Frequency Systems (ARFS) Deputy Program Manager with strong leadership abilities, excellent engineering skills, and extensive experience in product innovation and technical execution.This position requires experience in developing strong customer relationships and fulfilling deliverables therefore positioning the ARFS team for future growth. The candidate should have a strong technical and project management background and knowledge in the design and development of complex phased array systems is a plus.

  The Deputy Program Manager will support the Principal Product Manager in execution of PM tasks. The ideal candidate will be a competent, self-starting individual, who has strong interpersonal, communication and time management skills. Success in this position requires a strategic thinker with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  Project Coordination & Stakeholder Management • Assist the Program Manager in developing project plans, schedules, and budgets for programs sized 5M and up. • Monitor project progress, milestones, and deliverables, identifying potential risks and implementing mitigation strategies. • Establish and maintain effective communication channels with customers, subcontractors and internal stakeholders such as PM Team, IPT Leads, Group Leads, Contracts, Subcontracts, Finance, Purchasing, and Human Resources • Coordinate regular meetings and progress updates with the PM Team, IPT Leads, Group Leads, and other staff to ensure alignment and address any concerns or open action items. • Support the Program Manager in managing stakeholder expectations and addressing their needs throughout the project lifecycle. • Identify opportunities for process improvement, efficiency enhancements, and lessons learned • Participate in post-project reviews and implement corrective actions as required to enhance project performance and outcomes. • Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in RF systems and project management.

  Budget and Resource Management • Assist the Program Manager in monitoring project budgets, expenditures, and financial forecasts for Advanced Radio Frequency Systems. • Coordinate resource allocation and optimization in collaboration with the PM Team, IPT Leads, Group Leads, and other staff members. • Collaborate with finance and procurement teams to ensure timely procurement of project materials and services related to RF systems.

  Contract Management • Support the Program Manager in contract administration specific to Advanced Radio Frequency Systems, including reviewing contract terms, monitoring deliverables, and managing contract modifications. • Collaborate with the legal and procurement teams to address contractual issues, ensure program compliance and avoid scope creep.

  You’re required to have this

  Required Education and Experience • Bachelor's degree in relevant STEM discipline or Program Management discipline • Minimum 3-6 years of relevant experience managing technical programs • Experience with developing and presenting schedule, financial and/or technical briefings. • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing • Ability to effectively resolve challenging technical problems. • Experience with/understanding of DoD contracting and acquisition process • Ability to effectively handle variety of situations and problems that may arise – sometimes several at once – and solve them, work with those involved to come to cooperative solutions, while understanding time and budget constraints • Proven ability to perform under the stress of frequent interruptions and/or distractions. • Skill in working, independently and at the direction of a manager; following through on assignments in a timely manner. • Ability to prioritize, organize, and complete assignments efficiently and accurately, while adapting to shifting or competing work assignments and changes in workload volume • Must be proficient in Excel and PowerPoint • Experience with satellite ground systems is preferred.

  Desired Education and Experience • MS or advanced degree in an engineering/program management field or equivalent industry experience • Experience with business intelligence reporting (e.g. PowerBI) and Microsoft Project Preferred • Experience with Unanet would be a plus • Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and requirements • Experience in assigning and delegating tasks to engineering teams, setting both long and short-term project goals as well as working alongside other engineers and technicians, approving designs and budgets, calculating costs, material, labor, and time required for each project, negotiating contracts with vendors and clients, executing plans safely and efficiently, ensuring that projects stay within time and budgetary restraints, and compiling reports and presenting information • Experience aiding with proposal development, contract negotiation, contract compliance and business development • Experience in Aerospace or with US Department of Defense

  Supervisory Responsibility None Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. BlueHalo Supports a flexible work schedule with Days and hours of work nominally: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m., with every other Friday off. Remote/Hybrid flex schedule is allowed 1-2 days per week. This position occasionally requires long hours and weekend work. Classification Exempt (Salaried) T, E, or A Level: E3-E4 Reports to Principal Product Manager for Advanced Radio Frequency Systems Travel Occasional overnight travel Primary Location BlueHalo Company Address: 10800 Gibson Blvd. SE. Albuquerque, NM 87123 Clearance Requirement Ability to obtain a US Department of Defense Top Secret SCI Clearance. Active US Department of Defense Secret or Top Secret Clearance preferred. Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment with specialized laboratory areas. This role routinely uses standard office equipment and special test equipment to meet program objectives.
