Job Description
As a Program Manager at Oracle Labs, you will be responsible for various organization-wide programs and processes, such as project management, recruiting, training, research collaborations, patents or roadmap planning. You will get to lead projects to explore our most experimental ideas that might become reality and driving forces at Oracle one day.
Oracle Labs is the advanced research and development arm of Oracle. We focus on the development of technologies that keep Oracle at the forefront of the computer industry. Oracle Labs researchers look for novel approaches and methodologies, often taking on projects with high risk or uncertainty, or that are difficult to tackle within a product-development organization. For example, chip multithreading and the Java programming language grew out of work done in Oracle Labs.
Responsibilities:
Together with an international and global team of highly qualified professionals, you will work on interesting and challenging tasks, allowing you to make an impact across Oracle Labs and Oracle
Scoping, leading and delivering programs and projects within Oracle Labs
Owning the planning, design and execution of processes within Oracle Labs
Gathering business requirements from various stakeholders within and outside of the company
Defining milestones and timelines and working to meet them
Tracking and reporting key performance indicators (KPIs) for projects and programs
Documenting clear and detailed functional and/or design specifications
Communicating with engineers and business leaders to identify scalable solutions
Skills and qualifications:
The person stepping into this role is expected to have a wide and diverse set of skills
3-5 years of experience working as program manager, project manager, community manager, or in a related role Bachelor's degree required, Master's preferred
Excellent written and spoken English, strong communication and presentation skills
Ability to learn quickly and work independently while dealing with ambiguous situations, with a strong positive attitude
Highly organized and detail-oriented with an ability to manage tasks, teams, and cross-functional collaboration
Responsibilities
Manage the development and implementation process of a specific company product involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products. Plan and direct schedules and monitor budget/spending. Monitor the project from initiation through delivery. Organize the interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget constraints. Assign and monitor work of systems analysis and program staff, providing technical support and direction.
