Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity based in Santa Barbara for a summer camp! We are looking for individuals with experience in children's programs, project management, teaching, and camps. This role is focused on supporting the objectives of our youth programs, managing direct oversight of scholars, and providing quality, balanced programs for youth.

Responsibilities:

• Familiarize yourself with program policies and procedures to provide support for the goals and objectives.

• Manage direct oversight of one group of scholars (grades 3-6) and Counselors in Training (grades 10-12).

• Implement positive youth behavior management methods.

• Plan and deliver quality and balanced programs for youth.

• Attend all meetings and trainings.

• Regularly confer with Site Coordinator and team.

• Provide necessary information to Site and Assistant Site Coordinator to complete surveys, compile data, and maintain accurate records for staff and students.

• Regularly clean classroom spaces and supplies as requested by the Site Coordinator.

• Prepare the room or space for class each day and ensure all supplies are ready for planned activity.

• Ensure a positive experience for scholars and families and maintain positive relationships with program staff, partners, and program participants.

• Carry out other relevant office or on-site work as needed.

• Help administer the program evaluations.

• Represent the program, agency and participant needs to funders, employers, and the community at large in a positive manner.

Requirements • Proven experience working as a Project Assistant or similar role

• Knowledge of project management methods

• Experience working with children in a teaching or camp setting

• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

• Ability to work well in a team environment

• Proficient in MS Office and project management software

• Strong problem-solving abilities

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred
