What we want
The Office for Student Success seeks to hire a Program Coordinator I who will provide guidance and support to transfer students’ campus-wide and those participating in the Transfer Student Program (TSP). Our candidate will serve as a liaison to multiple departments such as New Student & Family Programs and other student success offices and partners. In addition, our candidate will play a vital role in mentor training and supervision and contributes to expansive program development. They will provide oversight of student activities within TSP and facilitate logistics for those activities, community service projects, and events sponsored by the department. This position will assist the program manager to devise and execute strategies aimed at sustaining a heightened level of engagement and knowledge regarding the Transfer Student Program and with prospective and current transfer students in general. Our candidate will be comfortable engaging with students, prospective students, and faculty members regarding TSP and transfer initiatives within the TAMU system. Our candidate will be creative, innovative, detail oriented to supervise the development and maintenance of dynamic social media and marketing across multiple platforms. Salary Range: $36,512.00 - $46,924.80 (Based on selected hire’s qualifications )

Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Two years of related experience in office/administrative work, working with student programming, and/or higher education.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Requires excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
Ability to use word processing and spreadsheet software programs.
Creative, innovative, and detailed oriented.
Preferred Qualifications:
Social media marketing capabilities and technology experience.
Highly trainable, demonstrated learning ability.
Responsibilities
Student Support - Provides guidance and support to transfer students’ campus-wide and those participating in the Transfer Student Program (TSP) on the College Station campus. Serves as a liaison to multiple departments such as New Student & Family Programs and other student success offices and partners. Coordinates mentor training and supervision, as well as contributes to program development. Provides oversight of student activities within TSP and facilitates logistics for those activities, community service projects, and events sponsored by the department. Connects students with campus services, including, but not limited to student health, academic support, student counseling, career services, veteran services and more. Works alongside the manger to ensure positive experiences for all transfer students participating in the program.
Program Development - Will assist the program manager to devise and execute strategies aimed at sustaining a heightened level of engagement and knowledge regarding the Transfer Student Program. Additionally, this individual will offer guidance on the various student programs accessible to transfer students. Responds to queries from students, prospective students, and faculty members regarding TSP and transfer resources; this person will also maintain a working knowledge of transfer support alternative on and off campus.
Brand Ambassador - This position will represent the Office for Student Success and Transfer Student Program by promoting the mission and goals of the respective programs. Will represent the Transfer Student Program in the absence of the program manager. Will supervise the development and maintenance of dynamic social media and marketing across multiple platforms.
Office Support - Works on all the logistics associated with the program. Coordinates TSP office space, including student, staff, and program spaces and maintains program materials. Works with the program manager to ensure needs are met for new staff onboarding. General office duties as assigned such as scheduling, calendaring, filing, copying and document retention.
Program Assessments - Develops and implements program assessments that evaluate services provided by the TSP. Assist the manger to continuously assess and improve departmental transfer initiatives to meet the needs of transfer students.
