About the Role
The OT Manufacturing Software Specialist will be responsible for developing and executing our business strategy to accelerate growth in industrial, manufacturing, infrastructure, and process markets specifically with Rockwell Automations suite of process software and information software packages including the entire FactoryTalk software product line as well as the Rockwell Automation DCS solution, PlantPAx. The Software Specialist is accountable for building distributor software offerings and defining any key gaps to deliver process and information software solutions.
What You'll Do:
Sales Leadership
Annual growth planning and execution including targets, competency, and future investments.
Lead overall business focus and performance around the Process and Information Software businesses.
Manage complexity, regularly overcome objections, and adapt to change.
Manage business with discipline.
Recognize what is best for customer and business needs.
Inspire, influence, lead and communicate across a diverse team of automation sales and technical resources.
Customer-centric business advocate.
Learn & leverage Outcome Based Selling methodologies.
Create, manage, and track sales opportunities through every stage of the sales process Discovery through Closed Order using the Turtle organization CRM software, SalesForce.
Technical
Serve as domain expert around Rockwell Automation Process and Information Software businesses and continuously build competency within your team and the Turtle sales teams.
Ability to translate customer's industrial business drivers into manufacturing process automation solutions and articulate the unique value of the Rockwell Automation Software portfolio.
Lead the business development and understand the technical acumen of the industrial software industry.
Continuously enhance technical awareness and competency in adjacent technologies such as SCADA, Information Software and Asset Performance Monitoring/Management
Exhibit and embrace the Turtle core tenet of Radical Collaboration, actively seeking and executing opportunities that involve other Turtle Technology Solutions.
Marketing
Analyze market conditions, develop an annual business plan and coordinate its implementation.
Understand market conditions, competitive forces, determine market share, and identify opportunities for growth.
Develop and implement strategies to attack competition and grow market penetration.
Work with multiple partner relationships while achieving target outcomes.
Commercially and technically articulate Rockwell Automations value proposition in the information software and solutions arena.
Work with our marketing department to administer and implement marketing programs and product launches for Rockwell Automations information software and solutions business.
Develop and deliver digital content for marketing and social media platforms.
Participate in appropriate industry organizations(ISA, MESA, WBF, etc.) and events to enhance Turtle position and connections.
What You'll Bring
4-year degree or equivalent professional experience in technical disciplines is required.
5 years of sales experience in Industrial Automation or Process/DCS Sales leadership.
Experience with the manufacturing industry
standards
S88 and ISA95 required.
Ability to travel 3-5 days a week in the NY/NJ geography is required.
Demonstrated in depth knowledge & understanding of ISA, MESA and Process Industry Standards & Terminology
Control systems and Computer Technology (Microsoft)
Information software solutions such as Rockwells FactoryTalk Historian, Asset-Centre, ThinManager and/or competitive offerings
Information Software Application Knowledge
The ideal candidate will have exposure to all levels and connectivity of the Purdue Model (Field Devices to ERP). Platforms including but not limited to: Instrumentation, PLC, DCS Controllers, HMI/SCADA, Server Architectures, Plant Historian, APC, Motor Control, Intelligent Power, as well as Analytics, IIoT, and Cloud Automation.
Ability to influence and guide team members when required.
Proven self-starter with a track record of market development and program execution experience.
