ASCO is seeking a high-performing and enthusiastic Program Associate, Professional Development to join our Education, Science and Professional Development Department. The selected candidate will provide programmatic and administrative support to the professional development (PD) programs, meetings, and projects. Responsibilities
Provide program support to various program-related Professional Development Work Group(s), including the development and dissemination of meeting agendas, materials, and minutesProvide administrative support to the Program Manager, Professional Development to execute ASCOs Leadership Development Programs and the Virtual Mentoring Program (VMP) by coordinating the application, review, and selection process, and serve as ASCO staff contact to the participants, providing exemplary customer serviceCoordinate the tasks to execute and expand ASCOs leadership initiatives which includes preparation and distribution of materials, volunteer communication, and evaluationProvide program support to the various mentoring initiatives including serving as the primary point of contact for applicants, mentees, and mentors, providing exemplary customer service, supporting the application, review, and notification processes, and coordinating the mentee and mentor matching processCoordinate and maintain program data for ASCOs Leadership Development Programs and Mentoring Initiatives to inform if programs are meeting ASCOs strategic goalsRequired Education and Experience
Bachelors degree or equivalent years of experience.1+ years of programmatic or administrative support experience within a professional environment including customer serviceProficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook) and an openness to embracing and learning new technology.Preferred Education and Experience
Previous program support experience in non-profits, diversity/inclusivity programs, education, and/or healthcare.Experience planning and developing work plans and agendas, events, material preparation, engagement, and expensesProficiency with online application management and survey tools, such as SurveyMonkey Apply or Qualtrics, in collecting and reviewing program applications and conducting surveysCompetencies
