ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIESResponsible for following blueprint, sketches, engineering drawings,work instructions, to produce products to customer requirementsRegularly and consistently demonstrate skill in the areas of MIG & TIGwelding, machine operation, grinding & layout, print reading andverification This position is responsible for operating weldingequipment to build high quantity parts, subassemblies, and finishedproduct in a manufacturing environment Produces parts per print andlabor standards to achieve production goals Tack-weld parts inpreparation for final welding Chips or grinds off burrs, sharp edges,excess weld, slag, or spatter using hand or bench grinders as well asother power tools Positions and clamps together components of fabricatedmetal products preparatory to welding Uses inspection devices asnecessary to inspect parts and verify Measure work piece dimensions toverify accuracy Maintain a clean and organized work area Communicate andwork well with other departments and team members regarding accurate andtimely completion of projects Identify problems, develop alternativesolutions and gather/present information toward implementing alternativeactions Exhibit ability to prioritize and plan work activities, managetime efficiently and meet objectives to complete projects Demonstrateteamwork by working well with others, offering assistance, respondingpositively to constructive feedback Set the example for safemanufacturing and material handling practices Meet and maintain qualityand performance expectations including efficiencies and productivitystandards Meet and maintain the required efficiency level with minimalre-work Other job duties as assigned per the needs of the Shop...
