Job Description:
Coordinates manufacturing oversight to one or more production cells.
Distributes and ensures flow of work is consistent with requirements.
Supports company's lean process and works to improve processes and flow.
Provides technical direction, guidance, instruction, and assistance to employees.
Promotes teamwork using the Collins Path Culture.
Attends all provided leadership training courses and improves leadership skills level for future growth as a leader within Collins Aerospace.
Primary Responsibilities:
Conducts/Leads Safety Risk Assessments in assigned area(s) and takes proactive measures for improvement.
Understands, maintains and communicates the cell’s performance to the team and management through the use of the Visual Display Boards.
Participates in (CI) Continuous Improvement (Events, RTPR, 5S evaluations, etc.).
Facilitates on-going CI projects (Waste Elimination, Corrective Action, To Do List Items, etc.).
Understands production status of the area and schedule.
Support Leader in identifying gaps in training matrix and develops action plan for cross training.
Provides direction and on the job training to employees in the assigned area(s).
Advocate of Standard Work, follows written and verbal instructions, performs basic math calculations.
Fills in for Technicians and assists employees as needed.
Facilitates QN tag process.
Works in a team environment.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
Basic Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma / GED or equivalent is required, in absence of a diploma 2 years of relevant experience is required.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Must have or be capable of obtaining a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance. Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation/reinstatement and must meet eligibility requirements.
Must currently live in Jacksonville, FL area. No relocation provided for this role.
Preferred Qualifications:
3 years experience as a Production Technician.
Strong written and verbal communications skills, effective two-way communication.
Interpersonal skills - able to work cooperatively with supervisors, co-workers, customers, etc.
Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
Must be ability to read, understand, and apply standard work instructions in a manufacturing setting.
Willing and able to work overtime as required
