Job Description

　　VCA Valley Animal Hospital & Emergency Center is seeking experienced a Credentialed Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant to support one of our DVMs whose practice is focused primarily on advanced dentistry and maxillofacial surgery.

　　The successful candidate will be a believer in the possibilities of high quality veterinary medicine and patient care—with the expertise and technical know-how to make them happen.

　　In addition to standard technical skills, the Dental Department values:

　　A genuine interest and excitement in the area of Veterinary Dentistry & Surgery

　　Knowledge and competence in the area of Anesthesia induction, maintenance, monitoring, and recovery

　　Performing dental prophylaxis & full mouth dental radiographs

　　Assisting with root canals, dental implants, various jaw surgeries, complex oral mass removals, and a variety of other surgeries

　　Excellent attention to detail, computer skills, and record keeping.

　　Compensation varies based on education, experience, and current AZ CVT license: $15 - 22/hour (includes scale for licensed and unlicensed Veterinary Technicians)

　　For this department the normal working hours and Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday 7a - 5:30p, however flexible availability and the ability to work occasional weekends and holidays is a must.
