　　Our optical lab is seeking a department Production Supervisor for our growing manufacturing operation.

　　2nd Shift Hours:   Sundays-Thursdays, 4:00pm - 12:30am

　　General Summary:  Responsible for supervising the daily functions of the assigned department including meeting production goals, hiring and developing staff, and maintaining a clean and safe environment for associates.

　　Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

　　Supervises production in the Department

　　Tracks hourly production numbers at work stations

　　Reviews and processes daily reports

　　Uses late lists to track old jobs, prioritizes hot jobs and ensures older jobs and hot jobs are processed timely and expedited through the lab

　　Reduces breakage by reviewing, implementing plans and resolving issues so to avoid reoccurrences and keep breakage low

　　Reviews rejects, final inspection kick-outs and identifies fixable trends to implement solutions

　　Sends "reworks" to appropriate person and uses as a training tool to avoid reoccurrences

　　Works with other department supervisors to resolve interdepartmental issues

　　Communicates with maintenance department to ensure all equipment is functioning properly

　　Manages consumables, supply needs and CPL budgets

　　Interviews and selects associates for the Department

　　Oversees training and cross training of associates

　　Reviews associate performance and recommends actions

　　Performs various administrative functions including maintaining performance and attendance records of associates, scheduling work and pto time, preparing and implementing departmental procedures

　　Enforces all Company Policies and Procedures

　　No specific education level required

　　Must be able to read and write English

　　Requires adequate knowledge and experience relevant to the role

　　Previous supervisory experience desired

　　5+ years experience in the optical production industry is preferred

　　Beginner to intermediate knowledge of MS Office including word and excel
