Summary: Lead the Machine Support group's activities at Jabil, ensuring production schedules and quality standards are met. With a focus on team development, efficient operations, and continuous improvement, your role is vital in maintaining a positive and high-performing work environment.
Shift: 7:00 am - 4:30 pm
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Identify individual and team strengths and development needs continuously.
Set clear goals and metrics to measure individual and team performance.
Provide ongoing coaching and counseling based on feedback.
Supervise the planning and execution of line moves and builds.
Oversee the maintenance management program, including repair parts, preventative maintenance, feeder maintenance, and support equipment maintenance.
Express pride in staff achievements and foster a positive work environment.
Conduct team member evaluations professionally and punctually.
Drive continuous improvement in key operational metrics and organizational goals.
Ensure fair and consistent management of recognition and rewards.
Facilitate communication forums for idea exchange within the department.
Organize and articulate ideas clearly using an appropriate business style.
Encourage input from team members and adapt communication style accordingly.
Plan the activities of the technical staff.
Develop and maintain department reports and records.
Ensure efficiency and non-redundancy in procedures and work instructions.
Offer new ideas for improvement and identify and implement best practices.
Establish new measurement systems where possible.
Adhere to safety and health regulations and company security policies.
Minimum Requirements:
3 years of experience in maintenance management minimum
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred but not required
Hands-on experience and knowledge of Surface Mount Technologies (SMT) and Thru-hole equipment/gear.
Proficiency in process optimization, Statistical Process Control, Design for Manufacturability, Design for Test, Demand Flow Technology (line balancing), and Design of Experiment methodologies.
Knowledge of engineering disciplines, including chemistry, mechanical, electrical, and industrial as they pertain to surface mount and final assembly.
