The Production Supervisor - 2nd Shift supervises and coordinates alldepartmental activities to include the production of a variety ofinorganic chemicals. The primary objective will be to achieve results inall areas of safety, production and quality, drive employee engagementand develop the team to continuously improve. This role is based at theMilwaukee facility. You will have the opportunity to: * Direct andmanages production activities to meet departmental operational duedates. Maintains production schedules at the most economical cost,keeping quality at a high standard * Drive accountability in theproduction area while influencing your team to achieve defined metricsand goals * Proactively implement, promote, and maintain a safe workingenvironment through diligence in accident prevention, investigation,equipment maintenance and adherence to plant safety policies andencouraging employees to follow sound safety practices. Ensures thatemployees have the necessary skills, knowledge, information, and toolsto do their jobs safely and effectively * Lead the implementation ofimprovements and corrective actions based on root causes for safetyobservations, material shortages, machine or equipment defects andcauses for delays. Lead productivity improvements using lean tools,working closely with our operational excellence and engineering teams *Reduce cost of operations by facilitating the implementation of leanmanufacturing concepts, cost reductions, and continuous improvementsREQUIREMENTS: * High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required;Bachelor\'s degree in Business, Accounting, Engineering or similar fieldfrom an accredited institution preferred * A minimum of 5 years\'experience in manufacturing setting or comparable industry * A minimumof 1 years\' experience in a lead or supervisory role * Previousexperience in manufacturing management or operational excellencepreferred * Previous management experience including supervisingmanufacturing employees preferred * SAP experience preferred HP #LI-AS1The selection of the person to be hired for this position is contingenton the candidate having export compliance eligibility for access to U.S.controlled technology which comes under the licensing jurisdiction ofthe U.S. Department of State, International Traffic in Arms Regulations(ITAR) and the U.S. Department of Commerce, Export AdministrationRegulations (EAR).
