Production Quality Engineer
SRCTec, LLC (https://www.srcinc.com/about/companies/srctec.html?1704476391029) is currently seeking a high-energy, results-oriented Production Quality Engineer . The selected candidate will provide product support, drive improvements within complex electronic manufacturing operations and assist the organization in meeting customer requirements.
What You’ll Do
Collaborate with other manufacturing disciplines, supplier quality, design authority functions and external auditing agencies to ensure that quality requirements and industry standards are understood, applied and verified
Ensure compliance to all processes, methods and procedures
Control, evaluate and disposition non-conforming product in all phases of production
Conduct root cause analysis on failures and facilitate corrective actions on process and product issues
Collaborate with manufacturing engineering and inspectors to solve complex problems and perform product/process verification and validation (V&V) activities
Perform technical reviews and/or approval of drawings, assembly instructions and work plans
Understand and drive resolution of customer complaints and concerns
Support improvement initiatives to identify opportunities, mitigate risks and reduce cost of poor quality
Develop tools to retrieve and refine manufacturing data into actionable information
Generate, communicate and identify trends in performance metrics to drive yield improvements across assigned product lines
Support qualification and surveillance audits
Support cross functional team meetings and production standups as the production quality representative
What You’ll Bring
Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent technical discipline (computer science, mathematics, statistics, or a similar field)
Experience: 0-2 years of related work experience
Working knowledge of continuous improvement tools such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing and Shainin Red-X
Experience in root cause analysis tools, corrective/preventative action activities and application of rigorous structured problem-solving techniques
Strong quantitative and analytical skills
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
Highly collaborative and team-oriented approach to work
Working knowledge of statistical software (Minitab or Advanced MS Excel) a plus
Familiarity with complex electronics manufacturing a plus
Knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100 and IPC standards a plus
Must be U.S. citizen

Total compensation for this role is market competitive. The anticipated salary range for this position based out of Syracuse, NY is estimated at $65,000 to $75,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s experience, skills, and abilities, geographic location as well as other business and organizational needs. SRC offers competitive benefit options, including a 10% company retirement contribution, low cost health care options, 20 days PTO yearly with an additional 8 paid holidays. Technicians at SRC are eligible for overtime at 1.5 times their regular rate. This is a first shift position.
