MUST BE ABLE TO DRIVE A FORKLIFTThe manufacturing production specialist will be involved in operating, monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining the automated seed packaging equipment to ensure quality and meet site deadlines for seed sourcing. Optimal candidates are motivated self-starters with high attention to detail and a passion for problem-solving.
The candidate will be responsible for executing operations using multiple systems, including an HMI (Human Machine Interface) to control and manipulate machinery as well as multiple internal and external software programs necessary to run the workflow. They will be expected to take ownership of their processing area(s) and partner with other specialists, operations team, and engineering team to facilitate efficient operations and meet daily targets for throughput.
Manufacturing Production Specialists will be involved in all aspects of the end-to-end site production workflow, including receiving material, scanning barcodes, cleaning, treating, sorting, counting, labeling and other warehousing seed work. May be responsible for preventive maintenance of equipment in assigned areas and ensuring operations process and procedures are followed. Responsibilities may also include electronic data collection in laboratory settings utilizing PC and handheld data collection devices. Additionally, maybe responsible for transporting small materials to appropriate work centers. Activities may require bending and lifting 50 lbs, long periods of sitting or standing or repetitive work. Extended hours may be requested during the peak seasons (March-May). Individuals must be able to adhere to all client SOPs and to support all site safety and regulatory compliance requirements.
Previous experience with MS Office / Excel and other standard computer and software systems is required. Basic mechanical ability/understanding of equipment maintenance (able to operate and trouble shoot equipment) is desired. Experience with WMS (Warehouse Management System) is strongly desired.
