Pay Type: Exempt / Salary paid Twice Per Month
Annual Salary Pay: Target Salary is $80,000- $85,600
Annual Bonus: 10%
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00am- 5:00pm, with flexibility to work Saturdays, and/or Sundays as needed to meet business demands

The Production Materials Manager is responsible for the production or production support of assigned large area or multiple work groups in a manufacturing operation. This position works directly in the General Motors Manufacturing Plant and interfaces with manufacturing customer personnel daily.
This position provides routine metrics, trends and possible solutions related to customer down-time, operating efficiently. Provides direct supervision of managers and / or hourly employees, ensures and follows-up on compliance with company and location policies.
Essential Functions
Production Material Analysis: Manages production material managers and/or hourly in a customer manufacturing facility for multiple work production areas. Ensures larger teams meet the production demand. Analyzes team KPIs and trouble shoots according with correct team members.
Customer Relationship Management: builds and maintains relationships with customer shift leaders by day to day deliverables are met. Collaborates across larger internal team for best practices, communicates changes and process improvements.
Goal Tracking: Ensures Business Plan Deployment dashboards are updated across their teams and/or designated work areas. Contributes to the effective delivery and execution of work plans across designated work areas.
Typical manager responsibilities pertaining to leading a team of managers and hourly staff as necessary. Engages with union on resolutions and with customer meetings. Designates work across multiple work areas and business leaders.
Leverages customer interfacing platforms to drive performance improvements across key deliverables for specific work groups. Performs basic administrative tasks related to meetings, emails, safety agendas, etc.
Additional Responsibilities
Must be available to work on a flexible schedule on the various work shifts
Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
H.S. diploma/GED required
Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain preferred
Two (2) years or more managing and leading direct reports, required
Three (3) years of relevant experience in manufacturing or industry related field, required
Excellent knowledge of Transportation and/or Warehouse Logistics operations.
Excellent knowledge of safety and security requirements.
