This position is accountable for leading the production and packaging of aerosol products for up to 2 production lines. This position assists in maintaining a safe work environment in compliance with all state and federal laws and within company guidelines. Takes an active role in continuous improvement efforts in all areas such as safety, housekeeping, productivity, cost, service, quality and employee morale. Has the ability to operate various machines that handle hazardous and non-hazardous materials used in the manufacturing of aerosol finished goods following prescribed instruction sheets and work orders. Responsible for waste material disposal per company rules/regulations.Additional Information:2nd Shift Monday-Friday 3pm-11pm$1.00/hr Shift PremiumLead the manufacturing of aerosol paint and chemical products following a standardized set of instructions in a timely manner, meeting all other requirements such as safety, quality, etc.Ability to operate all machines within the lines such as but not limited to box formers, drop packers, tippers, fillers, palletizers, depalletizers, Krones Labeler, stocking parts, etc. Willing and able to learn to operate machines not known, after assuming position.Lead and assist in performing changeovers, as needed, including color changes as required.Coordinate coverage and/or operate line machines to facilitate breaks or to cover for absences.Maintain and keep current all monitors, tracking forms and allother reports as required.Ensure disposal of waste products as defined by company guidelines.Direct and utilize employees to maximize overall performanceand efficiency.Direct cross-training of employees to be able to operate various production machines, both for paint and chemical, and increase scheduling flexibility. Track and report skills level for posting to Master Training Tracking database.Help ensure training requirements are followed and met as well as acknowledged by employee and supervisor and are currentOffer feedback to supervisor to complete performance appraisals as required for employees within their area.Direct and/or perform all necessary quality checks per company policy.Maintain responsibility for overall line(s) quality requirements.Communicate all required information to the supervisor on a daily basis.Act as an initial source for employee issues, seeking supervisor assistance with employee issues that are not easily resolved and do not follow a specific, clear policy or if dissatisfaction is expressed by employee.Perform all other duties as instructed by the supervisorMinimum Requirements:Must be at least eighteen (18) years of ageMust be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the futureMust have at least one (1) year of work experience operating machinery in a manufacturing and/or distribution environmentPreferred Qualifications:Have at least one (1) year of experience in leadership role(s), supervising others, or leading teamsHave completed formal training in and/or have at least one (1) year of work experience applying continuous improvement tools such as Six Sigma, 5-S, Lean Manufacturing, Transactional Lean, etc.Have at least three (3) years of experience in a manufacturing and/or distribution environmentHave an Associate degree or higher
