Position Summary: The ProductionTechnician provides light production assembly work by turning rawmaterials into finished quality products using engineering prints, billof materials and work instructions Job Responsibilities: Follows thedirection of Cell/Line Leader for what is worked on and when Buildsproducts to specification utilizing Work Instructions and appropriateBuild of Materials before proceeding with each task to solder, strip andcrimp wires, encapsulate (apply waterproofing materials), calibrate, andassemble Utilize electronic and paper documentation to conduct accuratein-process inspections for self and others Use the appropriate tool ortools for each job moving efficiently from task to task Transitions fromjobs within lines/cells and is able to perform duties in 2-3 lines/cellsCooperates in the overall task of getting products shipped on timeParticipates in monthly inventory. Adjust, repair, or replaceelectrical or electronic components to correct defects and to ensureconformance to specifications. Position, align, or adjust workpieces orelectrical parts to facilitate wiring or assembly. Explain assemblyprocedures or techniques to other workers. Clean parts, using cleaningsolutions, air hoses, and cloths. Drill or tap holes in specifiedequipment locations to mount control units or to provide openings forelements, wiring, or instruments. Fabricate or form parts, coils, orstructures according to specifications, using drills, calipers, cutters,or saws. Confer with supervisors or engineers to plan or review workactivities or to resolve production problems. Inspect or test wiringinstallations, assemblies, or circuits for resistance factors or foroperation, and record results. Mark and tag components so that stockinventory can be tracked and identified.
