Ensuring Chart’s Success…
This position at Chart’s Minnesota facility helps ensure that manufacturing work cells and stations have the components, subassemblies, and tools needed to complete all work orders on time. This is a very hands-on role that plays an important part in the success of the manufacturing team. Maintaining proper balance and flow through the factory is essential.
What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be…
Meets daily with the area coordinators to monitor the status of production and plan/strategize for success.
Maintains schedules for material requirements and availability for the manufacture of subassemblies and components used in the manufacture of cryogenic tanks and systems.
Expedites flow of materials, parts, and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with production and shipping schedules.
Tracks the progress of work orders and flagging potential problems and delays.
Reviews material shortage reports, locate components and make tracking adjustments.
What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be (Continued)...
Serves as the focal point for machine line scheduling for backlogged machines on conflicting priorities.
Understands the forecasting approach and its strengths and limitations, in particular the likely error associated with the forecast.
Monitors releases to ensure alignment with customer forecast and coordinates production output goal setting for any special circumstances.
Prepare reports for management as necessary regarding inventory and customer service attainment of goals.

Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…
Lift up to 15-30 pounds.
Continual movement around a manufacturing setting.
Your Professional Experience Should Be…
5-10 years of experience working in low volume manufacturing environment. ETO experience preferred.
3-5 years of experience working in material control or related field.
Proven results driving improvements.
Experience in Lean Mfg. a plus.
Experience managing flow and creating processes a plus.
Experience using an MRP system. JDE experience a plus.
Ability to read and understand blueprints.
Strong computer skills.
Ability to work independently.
Your Education Should Be…
