Kohler Company, the #1 rated consumer brand in plumbing manufacturing, is looking for a Materials Scheduler for their Walk-in-Bath and Showers teams. This is a newly created team where you’ll have the opportunity to lead and work directly with our end customers and bring their shower & bath space vision to life!
The Production Coordinator is responsible for coordinating efforts with and following direction from the Operations Manager to achieve quality installation of KOHLER brand products that exceed industry standards and our clients’ expectations.
Specific Responsibilities
Manage and track invoicing, matching contractor invoices to each respective job as necessary.In addition, track hours of work & material consumption to help measure profitability by job.
Oversee vendor/subcontractor relationships with suppliers for acquisition of water heaters, custom shower pans, and shower doors, etc., as needed for customer installations.Assist vendors with onboarding application procedure and walk them through the process. Follow through with vendors to keep them on track to complete their application.
Develop knowledge and understanding of the organization's policies and procedures and of relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct to ensure Kohler's work and materials adhere to those standards.
Extract relevant data from information provided by others and input it into spreadsheets or standard formats.
Implement improvements in scheduling methods and processes and provide feedback on the changes.
Work without supervision and provide technical guidance when required on planning, organizing, prioritizing, and overseeing activities to efficiently meet business and product installation objectives.
Request drawing sets for customer projects, review for completeness and accuracy, complete any necessary resubmissions and conduct plan review call with customer as necessary.
File for construction permits for customer projects in required jurisdictions.Manage permit timeline with installation schedule.Manage Kohler relationship with plan check authorities and propose and implement strategies to maximize permit filing/award efficiency in each jurisdiction.
Request, schedule, and attend in-home inspections of customer projects during and after installation.Represent Kohler to both customers and local inspectors.Develop and maintain relationships with local inspectors.Propose and implement strategies to maximize inspection success and efficiency in each jurisdiction.
Manage inspection cycle, call inspectors for estimated arrival times, and communicate to customers.Attend inspections as necessary.
Oversee all consumables inventory.Manage purchasing and stocking of consumables.
Physically receive inventory deliveries in partnership with the Materials Coordinator.
Timely respond to Installer requisition for Materials in partnership with the Materials Coordinator.
Operate forklift, perform product and accessory testing, stage product for installation.
Follow a range of mandatory procedures and methods of work (including use of personal protection equipment where relevant) to safeguard the environment and the wellbeing of oneself and others.
Skills/Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree desirable or equivalent practical experience and knowledge.
Must be proficient in use of PC and scheduling systems. SAP is preferred but not required.
Must be able to effectively work in a team setting and be able to communicate with all levels of management, staff personnel, and external and internal customers.
Must be able to function in a multi-tasking environment.
Ability to lift to 100lbs and stand for long periods required.May be required to reach over shoulder height and head height and crawling and crouching positionally.
Ability to operate company vehicle preferred. A satisfactory MVR will be required to operate a company vehicle.

The hourly range for this position is $26.90 - $33.65. The specific hourly rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
