Summary You will serve as a Production Controller in the Engineering & Planning Department of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD. This position is located within C220P of the Engineering and Planning Department. Responsibilities You will perform job planning and waterfront support in various trade disciplines for the overhaul, conversion, repair, custom manufacturing and construction of nuclear submarines and other ships assigned. You will develop comprehensive estimates for direct labor and material costs. You will establish initial planning functions and funding to start the availability planning process. You will make work site inspections aboard the ship or in the shop to determine planning requirements, identify interferences, progress of work and status of expenditures. You will use AIM, MRQT and JIRA and other data tracking software programs, as well as coordinating completion of work with outside departments. You will perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience performing job planning and waterfront support in various trade disciplines for the overhaul, conversion, repair, custom manufacturing, of nuclear submarines and other ships assigned; Experience developing estimates for direct labor and material costs by shops/trade skill set, for each work step using applicable process instructions and standards; Experience preparing, creating, reviewing and routing job summaries and task group instructions (TGIs); Experience applying knowledge of contracting process and contract requirements; Experience using computer systems to identify material, provide drawings and specifications, and prepare technical work instructions. GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
