Headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio and with a manufacturing presence in Knoxville, Tennessee, the company manufactures and distributes products across multiple industries, including commercial, industrial, institutional and business consumer sectors from food service to automotive to medical.
We are currently seeking a Production Control Clerk to join our team. This role is essential to the success of our company as the Production Control Clerk will source, coordinate, and manage all of our production materials and production scheduling.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Posts and edits pick lists and routes card information as needed for production orders.Serve as back-up personnel to the Production Supervisor for scheduling of the required departments.Assist in the management of filling open production orders, priorities, and scheduling to reduce and prevent future backorders.Work with Corporate Sourcing department and the Receiving Clerk to ensure Woven and Nonwoven receipts are correct as needed. May require working with IT and other departments as needed.Provide feedback to department supervisors on all production problems as necessary.Create P.O.s and maintain stocking of production supplies and raw materialsMeet and maintain production and quality standards.Check Accuracy of BOM (Bill of Materials) as orders complete.Lead weekly bin audits.Aid in cycle counts and reconciliation of production groups.Physically verify inventory to reconcile with consumptionPerform necessary research to understand material variancesPerforms assigned month-end closing tasks for FinanceMaintain production order and purchase order filesOrder MRO supplies including but not limited to corrugate, tape, glue, cornerboards, wrap, and fluorescent inkCoordinate vendor managed inventory including issuing P.O.s and reconciling receipts with ordersProcess invoices of non-inventoried itemsEnters and posts consumption for all production orders including substrates, corrugate, labels, and other BOM components, taking note of any extraordinary consumptionAdhere to all company work rules.Adhere to all safety rules and practices and other safety regulations, including using and/or wearing all assigned safety equipment.Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, co-workers and management.Other duties as assigned.We have openings on 1^st^, 2^nd^ and 3^rd^ shifts. Hours vary depending on which shift you discuss with the interviewer.
Experience, Education, Certifications and Licensures:
High School Diploma or GED; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Good communication skills.Must be able to perform basic math functions and conversion formulas.Well organized with good attention to detail.Good work ethic.Must have intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel, Word, and Outlook.Must be able to work independently.Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality in all work completed.Physical Requirements:
Dexterity: Ability to make small movements such as typing, picking up small object, or pinching items together.Communicating: Especially where one must frequently give and receive detailed or important instructions or ideas accurately, loudly, r quickly.Repetitive Motions: Movements frequently and regularly required using the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.Average Visual Abilities: Average, Ordinary, visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents or products, or operate machinery.Physical Strength: Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. Exerts up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally.Must be physically and mentally able to work your required shift.Mental Activities and Requirements:
