About Production Associate - Level II

DESCRIPTION

Job Summary:

The Production Associate - Level II is responsible for operating machines and production equipment in a manufacturing environment, ensuring that all activities meet quality and productivity requirements. Working with limited guidance, this role involves maintaining safety standards, achieving production goals, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Health, Safety Environmental (HSE):

Stop work and immediately report any major injury hazards.

Report any work-related injury, illness, incident, or hazard.

Comply with HSE standards, policies, procedures, and regulations.

Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Promote a culture of interdependence by looking out for one another.

Correct hazards within your control and capabilities.

Recognize how your work impacts the environment and work to minimize negative effects.

Engage in HSE training.

Quality:

Follow all applicable standard work, process documentation, and quality procedures, including Statistical Process Control (SPC), poka-yoke, and visual standards.

Raise issues to minimize cost and quality exposures.

Perform quality inspections and identify/control non-conforming materials.

Delivery:

Operate manual and automated equipment to manufacture and assemble products that meet customer expectations in terms of characteristics and dimensions.

Demonstrate high competency in core work skills and achieve production goals.

Work at the required cycle time or defined engineering standard.

Maintain a clean and orderly work area, including routine housekeeping and machine cleaning tasks.

Perform planned operator care and maintenance tasks.

Remain flexible and perform other duties as required to meet production goals.

Collaborate with peers, skilled trades, and support staff to maintain equipment and identify repair needs.

Teamwork:

Communicate effectively with the assigned team and all support teams.

Complete training and personal development in line with business requirements.

Actively participate in initiatives to improve quality, safety, process efficiency, material flow, and employee development.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience.

Diploma in any branch of Engineering (preferred).

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience:

Requires some work experience or intermediate-level knowledge obtained through education, training, or on-the-job experience.

Industry experience ranging from 2 to 8 years is preferred.

Additional Skills:

Operate machinery and deliver qualitative output as per cycle time.

Ability to work in all three shifts.

Maintain 5S and cleanliness of machinery and surrounding areas.

Participate in continual improvement initiatives such as FIFI, Q-Pro, and Kaizen.

Manage bottleneck machines to ensure continuous operation without breaks.

Improve skill level on machines and participate in preventive and process maintenance.

Enhance Right First Time (RFT) and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) by addressing losses and rejections.

Adhere to break and shift start/end timings.

Plan leaves with the Manager to avoid equipment idle time.

Support other lines/functions as per business requirements.

Follow tasks assigned by Team Leader/Manager.
