Company DescriptionJob DescriptionJOB DETAILSBase Pay: $21.50 per hour, plus $0.75 per hour shift differential3rd Shift: 10pm- 6amEmployment Benefits start on day 1DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESGuttercoil / Slitter Associates are responsible for all aspects of slitting painted metal, including set up, operation, inspection, and material handling activities. Guttercoil / Slitter Associates are expected to work in a safe, productive and cooperative manner in accordance with Cornerstone Building Brands/ Ply Gem policies and procedures.Safe work performance is required from each Associate at all times.Complete all tasks as assigned by Slitter department leadershipRead, understand, and follow the steps outlined in SOPs for each task being performed. Deviations from established procedures are permitted only with supervisor approvalTake prompt corrective action to eliminate safety hazards, minimize equipment downtime, reduce scrap generation, and correct deviations from quality standardsComplete required documentation including production records, safety checklist, quality checks, labels, etc. in a complete, legible, and accurate mannerOperate equipment to produce product in amounts as specifiedPerform established quality checks on material at required intervals to ensure all product specifications are being metProperly manage all wastes generated, including segregation of recyclable materials, and segregation of hazardous wastes by typeTake steps to minimize the amount of waste generatedQualificationsPrevious manufacturing and/or maintenance experience requiredMust be able to read, write and perform basic math skills as job duties requireMust possess common sense, positive attitude, and demonstrate excellent attendanceMust be quality and safety conscious, a team playerMust be able to work quickly with product and able to lift weight amount as indicated on job specific functional capacity evaluationMust have excellent manual dexterity and be able to concentrate for sustained periodsMust have good verbal and written communication skills and be able to interact with peopleExtensive standing, frequent bending, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, twisting and walkingRequired to utilize personal protective equipment, tugger, overhead crane, carts, dollies and some hand toolsAdditional InformationAddress: 2405 Campbell Rd Sidney, OH 45365Why work for Cornerstone Building Brands?Our teams are at the heart of our purpose to positively contribute to the communities where we live, work and play.
