The Production Worker is responsible for completing daily tasks in thecracker and cookie production areas. Tasks include, but are not limitedto, production of dough using machinery, batch processing of bakedcrackers and cookies, package finished goods according tospecifications, inspect the product to oversee product qualityassurance, setting up, maintaining, and cleaning equipment, and identifyor participate in continuous improvement opportunities. In this role,the employee will promote safety by following all procedures, GMPs, foodsafety, quality, and sanitation plans.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operate, monitor, and adjust baking machinery to assist in theproduction process.
Follow standard recipes, measurements, and procedures when loading rawmaterial into machinery.
Remove finished product from the production line and push batches to thenext step of the process for packaging.
Monitor products and remove any physical defective products.
Examine and inspect containers, materials, and products to ensurepacking specifications are met.
Maintain and record inventory levels and report deficiencies in productsor raw materials.
Perform box count quality checks.
Perform routine checks of metal detector function.
Remove completed products and place them on conveyors or palletize, asnecessary.
Assist in lifting, carrying, and moving heavy loads as required.
Track and record product, packaging, code information, and product countaccurately utilizing the specified forms.
Sanitize all materials and machinery parts at the end of each shift andclean the workspace at the worker station by following companycleanliness standards.
Monitor, identify, maintain, and report any equipment and/or work areasfor safety hazards or maintenance issues.
Train new employees in processes and procedures, if necessary.
Perform all duties in a safe manner, follow and understand all safetyrules as listed within the company safety manual, Good ManufacturingPractices, standard operating procedures, work instructions, training,and OSHA compliance.
Attend and participate in staff meetings, company-wide meetings,internal/external training as required.
