Photon Control Inc. is part of the MKS Instruments Photonics Solutions Division, providing a wide range of highly specialized opto-mechanical solutions to enhance our customer’s capabilities and productivity in the semiconductor, advanced electronics and specialty industrial markets. At Photon Control we design and manufacture high performance optical sensors and systems to measure temperature and position. These products improve performance and enable innovation for our customers and are used in the semiconductor and other high technology industries. Our clients provide solutions to some of the biggest semiconductor manufacturers whose products can be found in everyday electronic devices, cellphones, smart watches, TVs, and computers.
We are looking for a reliable Production Assembler to be responsible for assembling all electronic component parts including for the preparation, placement, and installation of all component parts.
What you will do is:
Manual assembly of electronic components including complex and accurate parts according to assembly procedures, custom specs and quality standards.
Perform hand soldering and test, mixed assemblies and custom parts.
Component preparation, placement and installation.
Final assembly and/or pack and ship as required.
The mechanical assembly as required.
Conduct repair/touch up/modifications on the products as required.
Be able to work on different aspects of manufacturing operations.
Participate in training and certification programs to ensure job knowledge and skills set.
Participate in all team level quality improvement initiatives, 5s, and safety procedures.
Other duties as required.
What will you bring to the team:
Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of standards in electronic components handling preferred.
Familiar with Lean principles would be an asset.
Hands-on manufacturing skills such as manual soldering is required.
Basic Excel experience is required.
Strong communication skills and a team player.

Compensation and Benefits:
Hourly Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour. This rate is a reasonable expectation of pay for this position, based on a range of factors including qualifications, experience, education, training, operational and business needs and other considerations.
