Job Description The Data Catalog Product Owner serves as the product owner for the enterprise data catalog solution. You'll be responsible for enabling various catalog services for data stewards, business stakeholders and technology partners. The data catalog is a central hub designed to help employees search and find data, define data policies, understand data availability, and help stakeholders to understand and trust enterprise data and analytics. As a product owner, you will take the lead role in many areas of product development, such as business strategist, product designer, market analyst, customer advocacy and project management. You are a technical person who understands of the ins and outs of application design and development, agile framework, scrum practices, and technology infrastructure. With support from technical experts, you will work to configure the data catalog to serve business stakeholders. You are directly accountable to business stakeholders for the data catalog, so you must be team oriented and internally focused. QUALIFICATIONS: -Bachelor's degree or equivalent and 5 plus years of product management or related work experience -In-depth knowledge of Agile methodologies -Strong analytical and problem-solving skills -Ability to multi-task and work under pressure -Excellent project management skills -Strong executive-level client facing skills, especially the ability to communicate complex technical concepts with confidence to a non-technical executive audience -Ability to motivate people and instill ownership, reliability, teamwork, and commitment in the team -Excellent technical background (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering degree, prior professional app development background etc.).
