About the Position
Cincinnati Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired (CABVI) is currently seeking an experienced, capable and highly motivatedProduct Manager - Furniture/Hardwareto join our team! This is a full-time staff position reporting to the Lead Product Manager.
Job Summary:
Take ownership of assigned product line(s), responsible for the net revenue, gross sales, profit and loss of the product lines and meeting customer needs. Primary point of contact for our sales staff, furniture design team, furniture installers, any internal questions regarding the product line and the customers. Oversight of furniture installation process until it meets the customers satisfaction. Products are manufactured for the Federal Government, State Entities and Commercial Businesses. Draw on a variety of resources to create and improve processes with the goal of meeting and exceeding customer expectations and driving product line growth. Position requires regional travel.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Communicate with local, state, and national customers on issues ranging from order and production statuses, special orders, price changes, installations, and developing new strategies to evolve the customer experience with CABVI.
Aggregate customer needs and communicate market data to Marketing and Sales to reach out to new and existing customers, ensuring product line success.
Work with raw material manufacturers to secure and purchase products essential for CABVI production. This includes monitoring price increases, manufacturers’ current supply levels and ability to procure and deliver products to CABVI.
Source new product vendors and negotiate contracts and terms to procure materials. Work with CABVI staff to integrate these new vendors into our system.
Oversee the day-to-day manufacturing orders and purchase orders needed to maintain steady day-to-day workflow with the Director of Manufacturing.
Perform cycle counts and inventory to maintain accuracy of materials on hand and calculate forecasting of materials needed for future orders.
Coordinate and assist the Quality Assurance (QA) department on compliance issues, ensuring product lines are meeting Industry, Government, and customer specifications.
Work with Product Management, Production, Marketing, and Sales teams to ensure customer needs are being met. Assist other departments such as Social Enterprises and Business Development in formulating and targeting new business opportunities.
Receive customer orders, verifying order requirements, and entering orders into ERP.
Perform other duties as assigned. Including but not limited to taking on new product lines.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field preferred or equivalent experience that includes project or product management .
Experience in overseeing installation projects, strong preference in office furniture.
ERP system experience preferred, but not mandatory.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Ability to adapt and prioritize while balancing needs of customers and agency resources.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
