  The Product team uses creativity, insights, and operational excellence to steer our product vision across Snap. Our designers, data scientists, and product managers work in a highly collaborative environment to build the products and experiences that unite our community in new and unique ways.

  We’re looking for a Product Manager, Safety to join our Product team at Snap Inc.

  What you'll do:

  Develop the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Safety reporting and investigation tooling at Snapchat

  Collaborate with engineering, data science, and other PMs to ensure our community feels safe, and when they observe abuse, they can easily report it and the correct enforcement action is taken as quickly as possible

  Define goals and own performance against key business metrics for safety like abuse reports and enforcement and moderator efficiency like average handling time, and proactively report progress against those goals

  Evolve continuously — constantly improving our ability to identify ways to make it easier for our community to report abuse and easier for our team of moderators to help protect Snapchatters

  Dig deep into the workflows and spend time working directly with our operations and engineering team to drive more efficiency with occasional travel and working directly in person with teammates around the world

  Drive the roadmaps and execution end-to-end — from design to development and through launch, authoring excellent documentation and sharing insights and results throughout the company

  Build alignment across the company on the team’s vision for investigation tooling with leadership and executives

  Devise the vision, strategy, and execution plan in collaboration with security, policy, product, engineering, and other cross-functional partners.

  Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  Ability to collaborate and build trust with engineers, designers, data science and other cross-functional teammates

  Ability to think creatively and approach problems with system-level thinking

  Extremely proactive with the ability to initiate and implement complex projects with minimal guidance

  Highly impact-focused, with a demonstrated history of delivering concrete results

  Outstanding communication skills and extremely comfortable conveying complex topics to a diverse array of stakeholders

  Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments, excited about finding solutions to complex problems and then completing them

  Experience performing product-oriented quantitative analysis

  Minimum Qualifications:

  Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience

  5+ years of product management at a consumer or enterprise technology company

  Preferred Qualifications:

  Experience building and shipping products at a consumer technology company

  Subject matter expertise in Trust & Safety, Integrity, Spam & Abuse or other related areas

  A passion for Snapchat!

  Compensation

  In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These pay zones may be modified in the future.

  Zone A (CA, WA, NYC) (https://careers.snap.com/us-payzones) :

  The base salary range for this position is $230,000-$335,000 annually.

  Zone B (https://careers.snap.com/us-payzones) :

  The base salary range for this position is $219,000-$318,000 annually.

  Zone C (https://careers.snap.com/us-payzones) :

  The base salary range for this position is $196,000-$285,000 annually.

  This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.
