Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced Product Manager II to join our team, focusing on enhancing our Authentication and Authorization (AA) product within the Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) domain. As a Product Manager II, you must understand authentication, authorization, OneLogin, and CIAM concepts. Authentication involves verifying the identity of users or systems attempting to access resources, while authorization determines access to a resource based on verified identity and assigned permissions. Your expertise in these areas will enable you to make informed decisions regarding the experience design and implementation of secure products that meet the needs of our customers while maintaining the integrity of our security protocols.
As a Product Manager II, you will support and drive innovation and product development involving new features that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our CIAM offerings. This includes managing all aspects of the product life cycle, from strategic planning to customer adoption, by collaborating with stakeholders to prioritize feature selection, speaking with customers and sales organizations soliciting feedback, and overseeing product development. In addition, you will demonstrate responsible ownership, relentless curiosity, a strong desire for continuous improvement, and the ability to think strategically about our products while empowering and leading others to do the same.
Your ability to work independently and as a team player will be vital in ensuring the success of these initiatives. Additionally, you will stay up to date with new security technologies and standards and be motivated to experiment and learn to improve our CIAM product continuously. This role reports directly to the Director of Product Management.
Key Responsibilities:
You will own the product/platform roadmap. Your duties will include overseeing the associated product feature set, making tradeoff decisions, and prioritizing features based on their significance to the customers and security standards by working with partners.
Define product roadmap, capabilities/features, and experience to meet customer needs and Paylocity security standards.
As a dedicated customer advocate, you will proactively engage with our customers to gather valuable feedback. Your role involves attentive listening to customer insights and actively seeking their input, empathetically understanding their pain points, and adeptly translating this feedback into actionable product enhancements.
Collaborate with partners to understand and integrate the requirements into the roadmaps/sprints/releases. In addition, you should recognize the paramount importance of data-driven decision-making in this role and use metrics to inform product strategy or feature prioritization.
Conduct due diligence on your proposed product strategies, assessing their viability and ensuring they align with market and customer needs. Additionally, you will establish a cadence for obtaining regular customer feedback to incorporate into the product.
Engage cross-functional team members in discussing strategy, product/platform health, winning and losing business hypotheses, and insights.
Be results-oriented and collaborate effectively with stakeholders, including external partners and vendors, to achieve product goals and objectives.
Required Experience:
Must have a minimum of 4 years of experience in Product Management, with a proven track record of successfully building and launching authentication and authorization products or identity life cycle management and governance or CIAM products.
Must have OneLogin experience.
Must know and preferably have Cyber Threat Intelligence or tools experience.
Must have experience working on cloud-based SaaS or PaaS software and a track record of delivery at high velocity.
Must have applied knowledge of identity protocols such as OIDC, identity federation, and SCIM.
Must have experience working with external partners and vendors to make build vs. buy decisions.
Must have at least 4 years of experience working with agile methodology to drive product development and delivery, including developing user stories/epics and authoring product documentation.
Must have the proficiency to communicate orally and in writing.
