The daily commitment of its employees to provide premium service focused on the customer first has earned Copper and Brass Sales the position of a respected leader in the nonferrous metals industry for over 80 years.Your responsibilitiesPosition: Product Director - Copper & Brass SalesLocation: RemoteSalary: $145,000 - $160,000 per annum + 30% bonus potentialBenefits: Great benefits, 3 weeks vacation, opportunity to purchase additional vacation, awesome discounts, approximately 50% travel, remote opportunitySummary of Position:As a Product Director at thyssenkrupp Materials, NA - Copper & Brass Sales, you'll spearhead supply chain solutions, leveraging extensive product and supply base knowledge to optimize profitability and elevate our market positioning.Key Accountabilities:- Develop and maintain in-depth expertise in assigned products, serving as the go-to resource for purchasing and sales activities.- Provide comprehensive product training to sales and purchasing teams, enhancing their understanding and proficiency.- Collaborate with Sales and Sales Management to offer product solutions to new and existing customers, aligning features with customer needs and technical product capabilities.- Educate customers on products based on specifications, needs, and relevant regulations.- Work with sales districts to formulate Sales/Marketing Plans, actively driving and monitoring results.- Support the development and evaluation of the sales force to achieve sales and profit goals.- Foster positive relationships with suppliers, overseeing the manufacturing, distribution, or value-added services for responsible products.- Assist in quoting and securing customer contracts.- Deep understanding of supply markets, including contract and transactional costing.- Set and manage standardized replacement costing in our ERP system.- Review and approve material creation for responsible products.- Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers at all levels, including executive management.- Support buyers and purchasing managers in driving supplier performance to meet business requirements.- Set inventory objectives in collaboration with purchasing management.- Provide backup support to replenish inventory (SAP users only).- Review and process Return Purchase Orders, Credits, and Debits upon request.- Prepare supplier reviews.**Qualifications
